"The preschool program is wildly fun and educational. While it's described as a developmental preschool it scares off the parents of a standard development child. This preschool incorporates special need students with standard development students and it's both beautiful and awesome. The entire staff has been helpful and kind during the times that two of my daughter's had attended, several years apart. The teachers and aids recognize that all children are different and learn at different rates. Jessica who runs the office is kind and helpful and I highly recommend getting on the waiting list for this amazing preschool."
"One of the crazy things they did was give 100 bicycles away to some students. It was a disaster. You can't give away 100 bikes to some students and not all of them, without severely hurting the other students feelings, plus lots of problems with favoritism and who does the picking. I would have understood a drawing, but they had teachers pick. The picking was based on the following criteria: Each grade level team established the criteria used to pick which kids would receive the bike, using good citizenship, academic improvement, behavior and an ability to meet goals to pick about six students from each class in the school. My daughter was a straight A student, one of the top students if not the top student in her class, she worked her but off, but she was not picked for a bicycle. She was devastated. She thought that the school was telling her that she was not a good enough student to win a bicycle, even with all the work and time that she had put forth to be a great student and role model and lead the class and sometimes the school in academics. I am sure many parents thought this was a crazy thing for the school and I know many complained, but it didn't matter. My daughter left this school feeling that she was not treated fairly since she was white. She told me that 2 bicycles were given to people that had behavior problems, and one that was tardy to school all time. And she also said all the bikes went to people of Mexican descent. Take it any way you want but my daughter was very glad to leave this school."
"I hear the school has horrible teachers"
"My son is in kindergarten here and im not happy with what staff they do have and his teacher. Kindergarten should be fun and my kid hates his teacher. Takes a very long time to get into the speech and language class.. going to look into a different school for him. Smoketree does not have enough staff on the playground in the mornings or at lunch time. Everytime im at his school I see something I dont like. The way young kids talk to each other is worse than the way ive seen older kids around havasu talk to each other. Its sad. Parents need to talk to their children about cussing and being NICE to others. Just not happy with this school at all!"
"I don't know what to say because I never went there and I heard that it's all good in school but I don't know if it is"
