"I had that an interview with this company about the beginning of this month August and I was actually hired to start a class on the 28th. HR did a background check supposedly ended up having going to her legal department I gave proof of my previous employment to make a long story short this woman ended up calling me a liar this company is not reputable and is shady after calling practically every day and being ignored to get clarification on whether I was starting a class on the 28th I am flabbergasted this is one of the most shadiest companies I've ever had to deal with and I didn't even start training asking me to go to the IRS and retrieve tax information to give to them the tactics of this company is abominable they get all of your information assessments etc beware"

"After having a life insurance policy for 20 years with them, when it was time for a payout it took over 6 months to receive the money. Getting the run around, never receiving the paperwork that was needed to send in. They made me have the other beneficiaries on a 3 way call. Life insurance is intended to help family members after a death with expenses. 6 months later you would have already lost your home"

"I switched from Transamerica to Genworth. I would not recommend this company. I know of two families who are in court battles. I had them for one year. I called to give new bank info and it was a $10 charge. No option to update online free of charge. Anywhere is better than here."

"This company is so bad my mom passed away and we sent in everything they need for her claim. we didn't even know she had life insurance untill, we called the first time they staying that she didn't pay on it and that the policy laps. We checked our mom account and they were taking money from it. My sister called and they found the policy and they were sent the paperwork they completed and then they said they didn't get it and then we resent again and they still want more info and top of that they wanted to investigate to see how she really passed even tho the the paramedics and mortuary confirmed it was natural causes. This company is just a scam I feel bad that they take advantage of people and take their money but don't pay after they pass away. We were told to look into a lawsuit. So that's the next step. Please don't let your loves ones be scammed and taken advantage of by this company."

"Where to begin? After having this policy for over 15 years, they started sending correspondence to an arbitrary address that has never been associated with me. Not sure who got my personal information. Have they heard of HIPAA? Then they declined my automatic payments from my bank and canceled my policy. After many, many hours on hold/talking to (nice) customer service, writing and emailing, they agreed to reinstate my policy if I sent them a check. They returned the check. After many more hours, they apologized and asked me to resend it. Which I did and policy was reinstated. A few months later, they started returning my checks and canceled my policy again, which I later got reinstated. I just realized today that my April and May payments have been returned and I have been on hold with Transamerica for 23 minutes. This policy is term insurance and will end in 2 years with my intention to protect my youngest until she graduates from college. I probably will never need it unless Transamerica related stress gives me a heart attack."
