"Management is very unreliable and frustrating. They are there for you when everything is but are very illusive when they are needed. Moving out is very unorganized and I've yet to met someone who hasn't been charged extra fees. Anywhere else in the same price range would be better."
"Lived there a year and there was no way I was going to renew my lease. The management was incompetent. I was there only a year but I noticed a high turn over with staff. Simple questions weren't answered, emails ignored, and the whole experience felt slimy. Additionally, there are a lot of scary residents. They would be partying in the pool area at 1am and I wasn't about to ask them to be quiet because I feared for my safety. On site security is a joke. Apartment was okay but I could hear my upstairs neighbors doing their jazzercise everyday. Edit: Months after I moved out I got a notice that I owed money from a collector agency. Cleaning fee (which is nonsense, I left it in great condition). Management tried to contact me ONCE by phone (not email) and then handed the case to collecting agency. There was plenty of time to solve any kinds of issues while I was moving out but management never returned my calls or answered my emails. I even wanted them to check out the apartment before I left just to avoid something like this but the ignored me. I wish there was a way to fight back, but they are well versed in their trickery."

"Vela is The BEST!!! We moved in after recently selling our house and this complex does not disappoint! The apartments are spacious, updated, and best of all - quiet. All my neighbors have been super courteous and kind; huge plus being a pet friendly community, too! AND don't even get me started on the surplus of 24-hour amenities available! Best of all, the office staff truly listens and cares about the community - food trucks, complimentary Starbucks, and planned events. The views from my unit are truly breathtaking and I have honestly never been happier to live the apartment life (take a peek at my photos and you'll understand)!! I was nervous moving from a suburban home, but let me just say that being a resident at Vela for the past month has been such a great experience. Special thanks to Bernadette, Gizelle, & Leeanna for being so sweet & helpful! I have nothing but love, for Vela on Camelback!!! =)"
