"Bad for Business I’m looking to move and wanted to check out this model at this location…. I get all the way to the leasing office and the sign on the door say Open but guess what nobody is inside to answer the door…. I waited for 15 min still nobody, mind you I’m here way before closing time.., smh"

"I was supposed to move in March 2nd but I am now being told I cant move in until the full move in cost is covered. Here is the thing, I am working with Community Bridges Inc. to cover move in cost. They requested the complex’s W-9 on February 9th. I also sent an email to the leasing office informing them that my case manager needed the complex’s W9 on the same day. No W9 was sent until yesterday after I had to ask a completely different leasing agent. The check request has been put in now that the proper documentation has been acquired but it wont arrive until after my scheduled move in date. Because of Bianca’s screw up, I am not being allowed to move as scheduled. Its not like it wasnt explained to Bianca that it takes two weeks for the check to arrive. If she had just sent the W9 to my case manager on the 9th the check would’ve arrive before my scheduled move in date. They dont care that I will essentially be homeless and there was no urgency to try and find a solution or come to an agreement. For that this complex gets one star."

"Living at Amara Apartments for the past two years has been an absolute nightmare. The overall living conditions in this place are deplorable, to say the least. Mold infestations run rampant, the walls are cracking, and there's a never-ending roach problem that the management seems completely indifferent to. During the scorching summer months, the AC chiller system inevitably breaks down, leaving residents to suffer in unbearable heat without any immediate resolution. To add to the inconvenience, there is no warning whatsoever when the water supply is shut off, causing major disruptions to daily life without any prior notice. The landscaping is a disaster, resembling more of a neglected jungle than a residential area. Overflowing trash cans are a common sight, attracting pests and creating a health hazard for everyone living here. The increase in homeless activity around the vicinity is deeply concerning and adds to the overall feeling of insecurity. To make matters worse, the residents in the unit beneath us have been smoking inside 24/7, making our living space unbearable and hazardous to our health. What's even more frustrating is the management's lack of responsiveness to residents' complaints and service requests. Despite numerous attempts to address these issues, nothing ever gets resolved. To top it all off, the property has changed hands multiple times, with four different companies taking ownership during our two-year stay. Each new owner claims to make minor repairs, but when they realize the extent of the necessary fixes, they simply pass the problem along to another company, leaving residents in a perpetual state of disrepair and frustration. In summary, living at Amara Apartments has been a never-ending nightmare, filled with poor living conditions, unaddressed issues, and a complete lack of concern for the well-being of its residents. Save yourself the stress and frustration—look elsewhere for a place to call home."

"101 degrees outside and…91 degrees inside. AC almost never works, it is always so so so hot. I’ve had so many issues from leaks coming from the AC to the underside of my sink leaking and causing mold to build up to the nastiest roach infestation. Literally, roaches everywhere. Roaches in the sinks, on the stove, on our bed, on our couches, tables, everywhere. The pest control they have contracted literally came by for one minute and put the tiniest amount of treatment on a tiny corner in a cabinet that the roaches didn’t even get to yet…needless to say we had to spend hundreds doing treatment to get rid of the roaches. In addition to that, water being shut off without any notice to unhelpful and uncommunicative management. It is a struggle living here, extremely inhabitable. And yes, I did provide pictures and videos because oh how horrendous it is to live here."

"We are finally moving out this month after living here 2 years. Its a decent place for $900 a month but not with the recent rent increases and no renovations besides the windows being repanelled. This new management never contacts you or includes you in any notices. The door is almost always locked to the office and the phone always goes to voicemail without a call back. 4 washers in the laundry room are always out if order, and the ones that do work leaves your clothes soaked. The dryers usually leave your clothes damp as well. Be prepared to wash and dry your load multiple times. At one point we did not have water for 9 days. Maintenance did not find it a priority. There are constant water leaks and walkways unusable. A/C in the summer doesnt work half the time. There is also a cockroach problem during the summer. There is no assigned parking so if you work late/ just get home late be prepared to search for a parking spot for 15 minutes. Trashes are always full for weeks and out of doggie bags. Management has to be one of the worst parts of living here. But AGAIN, for a low cost it was tolerable. Please live anywhere but here unless youre desperate."
