"Dr Speiss has a good bedside manner, however, his staff acts like they are incompetent. It took Veronica 2 months to refer my son to a urologist. I called 3 times to check the status of the referal. The 1st time she said she hadn't received his medical records from his other doctor's office. When I called the other doctor's office they stated that the medical records had been faxed a month ago. I called Dr Speiss's office back and told Veronica this and she stated well we haven't received them. They received them that day because Veronica called and told me the referral had been sent but she couldn't tell me what doctor because it was sent to a surgery center and whichever doctor received the referral would call me. Well a week went by and still hadn't heard anything. I called Veronica back and she said give it one more week. So then another week goes by and I call Veronica back. By now I'm furious and demand answers. Veronica called whoever it was and didn't bother calling me back. A couple hours later I received a call from Phoenix Children's Urology who told me they had just received the referal that day. Somebody didn't do their job and my son was just put on the back burner. Very unprofessional."

"My 1st time there. I love the questionnaire on the tablet. Really has alot of good question. What I really loved is they were able to provideTylenol on request before they administered vaccinations ( and I was able to keep the Tylenol) and what loved even more is the is the provider who administered the vaccinations comforted my daughter after she gave her the shots."

"If I could give this place 0 starts I would. I took my child to dr spiess for a small rash on his stomach. I just needed to have a dr say he wasn’t contagious so he could go back to school. Anyways when I called they made an apt no problem. I went into the appointment and they asked for a payment. I have been waiting for the billing lady to call me back so I could make a Payment to them so I figured all was well. Nope I was wrong. So I made them a payment like they asked so my child would be seen. Finally they called my son back and took his weight. Next thing I knew dr spiess was yelling at me infront of all of his staff and my 4 year old child about how I owe them money and my child will not be seen if I don’t set up a payment plan or make a bigger payment. What I paid was not sufficient enough. Ok fine I’ll set up a payment plan. I was planning to pay off majority of the balance in a couple weeks anyways. Every time I would try to speak he would speak over me and interrupt me. When I went to set up a payment plan they wanted me to do auto withdrawal. Nope sorry not happening. Mind you all of this is for 140 dollar balance (after I made a payment) For a dr to yell at me infront of everyone including my child is not acceptable and very unprofessional. My child should not have to worry about anything like that when he sees a dr. This dr is clearly all about money and not the care of his patients. I would not recommend him to anyone unless your ok with being yelled at infront of everyone. I have never been treated with such disrespect from a dr."
