Andante Apartments

"Stay away from this complex I was billed 5k for damages supposedly. Also why charge when you're renovating the unit, I was here back in 2019 stay away. Here is pics of my unit below. Also kept my deposit and now I'm in collections. Waiting 7 years to drop off now. Also as you can see my bathroom was spotless"

"RUN!!!! Absolutely horrendous incompetent condescending management. Have no idea what they are doing with billing when it comes to moving out of your place. You will be told conflicting information which will end up costing YOU your hard earned money. Also good luck getting in contact with the property management group, which is based out of California. When asking the leasing agents who work at the property for the property management groups number I was told “no, look it up,” I wish I could make this up. With plenty of apartments in the Ahwatukee area I would highly suggest looking elsewhere as this apartment is definitely not as luxurious as the luxury price. This is your life, please choose wisely where you intend to spend a year of it. Besides horrendous management there are other things I feel I should share about my experience. The trash is consistently full as well spilling over. Air conditioning went out multiple times. Noticed halfway through my lease my air filter had never been changed. The pools are closed very early which can be a good thing because of noise but do not expect to use the hot tub at night. This may sound minutiae but they have hot water tank senors in every apartment powered by batteries that tend to run low often. These batteries echo throughout the complex and sound like alarm clocks… makes for such a peaceful environment :) This is my only noise complaint, however I did live on a top floor so I can not speak to noise coming from an above apartment. I would imagine it’s tolerable as I had no complaints from the below apartment but always tread with caution as I know that’s a big thing with apartments. Please don’t be fooled by the golf carts to show you around or the sweet talking leasing agents. They are just out to get your money and not work to make your living experience enjoyable. With many other apartments in the area I would highly suggest looking elsewhere. Tried to write this quickly and in hopes it makes be less bitter, so sorry for any grammatical errors."

"Overall my experience has been good. The downfalls could be completely avoidable if either the management company and/or apartment staff would take appropriate action. The first downfall came with my renewal after my first year. I canceled my renewal as I thought I was moving, and then saw that my exact apartment was listed for $90 less than what my renewal rate is/was. I sent an email to the apartment staff asking why the rate for a new resident was less than my renewal. The answer I was given was some sort of canned response, such as "The price is based on market conditions." When I probed more, I was told the "best" they could do was decrease my renewal by $40. A similar situation is actually happening again, a very similar apartment is listed for nearly $150 less than my current rent (the move-in date is 25 days before my renewal date). The response I was given was that they would not charge me a transfer fee if I wanted to move apartments within the community. The second instance is after every maintenance request is completed, they seem to send a few "please rate us" emails. This is not too bothersome, but let the reviews come organically and not forced. The last instance was this year in January when the trash charges went from approximately $10/month, and from what I remember, the price doubled. From an email the apartment staff sent out, it appears that multiple residents asked why it doubled; the response was something along the lines of the garbage company increased the rates for December pickups."

"Been living here for 4 years and by far the best complex I’ve lived in. Maintenance is so fast, so thorough, no questions asked, just gets things done correctly. Office staff is friendly and helpful, even though I never have to call them for anything! Complex is well taken care of and always resurfacing or painting so it always looks fresh. They make it hard to want to move anywhere else unless I finally buy."

"This review is late as we moved out in May 2021 when we bought our first home. Thinking back, Andante was the most pleasant renting experience I’ve had in my entire life. We moved in during the middle of Covid. During that time, everything was virtual, but the move-in process went smoothly. We didn’t see our unit in person until we received our keys and we were so pleased with the interior! Beautifully updated kitchen and maximum natural lighting stole my heart! The staff was always friendly and helpful. Maintenance was quick to help whenever needed, no questions asked. The grounds were nicely kept (aside from irresponsible dog owners from time to time). Our apartment unit was beautiful inside and had a nice view of South Mountain and gorgeous sunsets. The complex is quiet, something that really surprised us with being so near to the freeways. Other tenants were neighborly and we ended up becoming friends with many of them. When we moved out, we didn’t encounter management taking advantage of us or nitpicking. Move-out was something I dreaded since in the past, I was always overcharged for the tiniest of things and expected that from Andante… I was wrong!! :) I recommended the complex to a friend of mine and she loves it so far!! I have fond memories of our time at Andante. Thank you Andante team for such a great experience! ❤️"
