Reviews
"Summary: Pros: Clean, spacious, near restaurants, bars, grocery, and events, smart appliances. Cons: Stolen Car, Bikes, & Laundry Machines (no security cameras, blamed for stolen laundry), very noisy upstairs neighbors (complaints ignored). Overall: Would not recommend to friends/family. I moved out about a year ago and I'm barely getting around to writing this review. I'll start with the positives. Moving in, our unit was very clean. The apartment offers spacious living and is near all the restaurants/bars/grocery/events you can think of. Lastly, the apartment is equipped with smart technology, so it makes apartment living easier. Now with the negatives. 1. Security & Safety. First, my car was stolen from its parking spot. Please note, it was a 2018 Kia Optima and is extremely vulnerable to be stolen. However, for what the apartment does to support, nothing. No cameras facing the gate and no cameras on the outside perimeters of the complex. No call from the property manager, saying "I'm sorry that happened" or "What can we do to support you", nothing. Second, our bikes were stolen from the patio. We'll take most of the blame, since we just left the bikes out in the open, but this shows the severity of the complex's lack of security and safety. Lastly, when moving out, we were informed that our laundry machines were stolen and we were going to be charged for it being stolen. When handing the keys over, we were not prompted to do a final walk around with the property manager or an associate working at the time. Since there were no witnesses or cameras in the complex, we couldn't challenge this claim at all. The whole situation seemed sketchy all together and we felt like we were being ripped off. Also, it felt like a big middle finger to us moving out. 2. Noise. Unless you're planning to live on the highest floor, you will hear loud footsteps and bumps all day (depending on who lives above you). When moving in, we had college students above us with the heaviest footsteps imaginable. Shortly after they moved out, we had a family move above us. Kid(s) were constantly running around and knocking things over. We've made several complaints, but it seemed to only make it worse. Other than those negatives, it was fine. Would I move back? No. Would I recommend to others? No. If you're planning to live in or near downtown, make sure that the apartment complex has good security/theft-prevention and the ceiling above you isn't paper thin. Not really worth the rent."
"Good morning, I would like to write about an unfortunate experience with my apartment home in the past year. Before however, I must extend gratitude to your Service Team Adam and Robert who have gone above and beyond to help me. In the midst of living here, my roommate and I have experienced (2) floods that have not been due to our own doing, but our neighbors that would then overspill into our pipes and flood into our kitchen sinks and overflow. The first flood was within two weeks of living there, and we could bear with it. The 2nd flood was as of recent and went from our kitchen to our living room, dining room, hallway and patio. This was upon returning from a Thanksgiving vacation and wasn't the best way to return home. These things happen though and I was sure our leasing office would take care of it, though I later learned that the property manager we thought we were working with left the property and left the new manager no notes, backstory, or help. I understand internal changes however this meant we were not attended two for 2 weeks by the leasing office, the service team helped best they could however it was distressing to learn the leasing office was not aware of any situation when my home was in ruin. I submitted a claim, however my furniture, flooring, carpet, supplies under the sink, and pet care, were ruined. I was distressed to say the least. When I learned that the Leasing Office was not aware of any of this was happening, I became confused and concerned because they had no notes about our apartment, and I am concerned that the office is disorganized and I fear upon move-out I will be charged the damage that has come from the flood. I really hope this does not happen so it is why I reach out. Least to say, I reached out to the team and although my family has gone through this pain, the Regional Manager was willing to credit only $75 towards our issue. It felt like a slap in the face, to say the least. We have been honest with rent, on time, patient, flexible, and to be uncared for feels like a slap in the face. Where I live is important to me, and where I want to call home after a long day. This experience has been distressing, and I feel like they wanted to make the issue just go away rather than care for it. I understand the new team had to adjust to their new residents, but I write this review because I am concerned about residents being cared for and what the end effect will be on our living situation. I do not want to be charged for damage upon move-out that was not our fault. However as residents, we did everything right. Please help. We have submitted our Notice to Vacate and hope the best for the property as it continues. Again, thank you Robert and Adam for your help. The experience would have been worse if it weren't for your help and customer service. Update: Gina, your reply is for show. I have reached out, with no response. I am still waiting on your team to update me on reimbursement. My move out date is approaching and I have yet to hear back, though you reply to my review. This tells me you’re doing this for show."
"Cockroaches, air conditioning that does not work, paint splattered windows, collapsed ceilings, on a literal dumpster fire.... it was so bad. And management was the most cruel and unkind people. I have lived in 7 prior apartment complexes across the country and left 5 star evaluations for all of them until now. While living at the heritage I had cockroaches for 3 months and had to move out to have my apartment fumigated for 12 hours while on night shift. The heritage denied me any financial reimbursement for hotels, refused to alert my neighbors despite the cockroaches crawling into the vents and would not allow me to leave or break my lease after the 3rd fumigation still failed to address the problem. Finally after months the cockroaches were gone. Then there was the green pool, my downstair neighbor had a shower made out of a plastic bag because they never finished renovating, a dumpster in the parking lot caught on fire, my electricity bill for my one bedroom apartment was often 250-300 dollars a month. Crystal Bautista, the manager, would provide no answers, not answer the phone and I would have to go in person where I found her to be deliberately aggravating. I honestly have so much more to say about her but I am not going to go back down that path. I watched this place go from bad to worse in a year and am now living elsewhere for a cheaper price and a 10x nicer apartment. 0/10 would NOT recommend."
"We moved into the Heritage a month ago and were immediately met with nothing but problems. The kitchen was filthy with old food encrusted on the appliances and there were roaches in every room of the apartment. There were also multiple maintenance issues including a wide gap in the front door and overall just poor quality renovations completed on the apartment. We notified the office right away and they had someone come and clean again but very little change was noticed. The maintenance issues were not fixed for over 10 days. The last straw was when my car was towed from my covered parking space because I had been given the wrong space number. Communication has been scarce throughout our entire experience and we are still trying to contact upper management about terminating our lease with no response in almost a week. We have already moved on to a different living situation due to the lack of sanitation and care. This apartment should not have been cleared for move-in and speaks to the lack of care from management."
"Great place to live! I’ve felt safe and comfortable. Manager Crystal is very nice and responsive. We have an amazing view (I added a pic from our patio) and the location is beyond perfect. Maintenance is also always responsive, friendly, and quick."
