"If you’re looking for incompetent and unprofessional property/office “managers” with zero communication skills, accommodations like.. ran down, and poor infrastructure, with sewage system that occasionally runs into the shower tub, or kitchen sink, Complemented by constants raising of their rent, then... Campus crossings Apartments at 8th street is a perfect place for you to live. Avoid this place like plague, if you care for your money and/or health."
"bug infestations are rampant, gates are broken, model apartment is not accurate, dirty carpet, unclean move-in, amenities always closed, laundry broken, bikes stolen, dirty appliances, non-empathetic office staff, dirty halls, in desperate need of a remodel, super delayed communication, inconsistent and broken AC even in the warmer months! You can find SUCH improved off-campus housing nearby that is pretty inexpensive as well that doesn't have so many issues. don't lease here. oh also, some 5-star reviews on here are from employees, so a clear conflict of interest. very little positive things to say. The furniture was fine and neighbors were pretty quiet. Definitely not enough to grant them more than a 1-star, especially since this complex is run by a HUGE, national parent company."
"Management communication needs improvement. Extremely slow response to emails, sometimes a week or more after multiple requests. Reaching them by phone is difficult as well. We moved our son into his apartment a few weeks ago and the apartment has issues, that have been reported, and have not been corrected by management or maintenance as of today. We had to buy materials and repair the toilet and microwave door ourselves just so our son could use them. The other issues on his list are still needing attention. The apartment is just OK, nothing like the pristine display model they show you, and nothing like the photos posted online. The furniture is decent however, so we will give credit for the furniture. Also, the thick CMU walls (not “paper thin”) between units keeps the noise down. The AC was also working as it should. The cleanliness of the apartment and entire property is poor. The soles of our tennis shoes turned black from walking the stairs and concrete hallways. The common areas don’t appear to have been washed in years, if ever. The stairs have years of build up of old sticky spills running down them and the concrete halls and walls are extremely dirty. The entire property is in need of a really good power washing. The neighbor’s adjoining balcony is littered with debris, old rotting cardboard boxes left over the summer, broken screen door and broken blinds. We first thought the unit was vacant and being remodeled but it appears that someone lives there. The absolute worse thing we discovered is that our son’s apartment has a German cockroach infestation, which makes his apartment unhealthy and uninhabitable. This has been reported to management but nothing has been done about it. While waiting for management to take care of this issue, our son took it upon himself to try to get rid of the roaches over the past few weeks and it’s been an ongoing battle. It’s becoming difficult for him to live there. I’ve read that others have had roach issues as well. The entire building needs to be tented, fumigated, and power washed. The location, decent apartment furniture and thick walls are the only pros. Campus Crossing does have potential. It needs lots of TLC and not be owned by, what appears to be, a slumlord."
"I’ve lived here & worked here :) for almost a year now, and I’m renewing! I love my home, it feels like a vacation every day with the resort style pool with 24/7 access. The management & staff here are all amazing, maintenance seems to really care about the residents, work orders are completed efficiently and quickly which I can’t say for most other corporate managed apartments. I love my view and location also. Can confirm the model furniture looks like the furniture you will receive!! My only complaint is towing, but I was towed due to not getting a sticker for my car. Haven’t been towed since!"
"I honestly love this place! I moved in this year, i’ve had the best living experience with these apartments. The staff is amazing, welcoming and genuinely cares about their tenants. They’re always surprising us with free goodies and treats down at the office!! so cute! The apartments are clean, Iv NEVER encountered bugs or roaches, the grounds are beautifully kept… and the pool is sweeeeeet, shaded during the afternoon and open 24/7!!!! also the community is gated so as a female living so close to down town, i feel extra safe in my home"
