"We came here on the recommendation of another camper who had enjoyed it. Preface this with the fact he was an avid hiker and the trails are what he was looking for. It was ok. The site was not nearly as long as we were told so it was a bit tight with our 45’ TH plus truck. Wide enough but we were sticking out a little. Basically just a dirt lot so people could still get around us so bonus. Dog park was way back behind the office. Unable or unwilling to go at night. Good enough for a stop through but we won’t be back to stay again. We spent a week exploring the area in winter. Verizon worked fine for Wi-Fi. Our utilities were in order, though our neighbor’s water had been run over or something, it was a bit wonky. Diana at the office was lovely. Other guests were fun and welcoming. We thought it was odd it was so dark but came to find out it is a local area trait bc of skywatching at some point while we were there. Bring your flashlight and you’ll be fine. Lots of cacti around."
"Originally booked to stay 2 days to recover from a week on BLM. Very timely as had full day of rain. On check in they gave us a sheet with all the tourist attractions and we decided to stay 5 more days to go check them out."
"Great trails. Pretty quiet, located away from the hustle of Tucson but not too far. Giving 4 stars due to the prolific artificial night lighting by paranoid campers afraid of pack rats and the fact that they have 4 huge dumpsters and no recycling….."
"This is a very clean and well-run park. The owners are very hard-working; they are always here. The people here are very kind - they share meals often. But most of all, this is the place to come if you like mountain biking or hiking during the winter months! They have a massive network of trails rated from green to black diamond that start at the campground, and you can have all kinds of terrain within 5 miles of camp. It is a great park."
"This is our second year coming back and we love it! Hiking & biking trails leave from the campground and the spaces are large with beautiful plants. Dark skies, birds, coyotes howling and all just outside of Tucson. Highly recommend!"
