"I just transferred from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom renovated unit at Cortland las Casas after having been in the 2 bedroom for 10 years. I just love this community. It's safe, quiet, and friendly. George Ramirez at the Campbell office here in Tucson, AZ helped facilitate my transfer as smoothly as I could possibly ask for. He is kind, reliable, and is so quick to respond to my questions and needs for this move. I have to say these renovations are quite impressive with new flooring , new appliances, and new window coverings. The renovations are stunning, up to date, and very clean. Models can be seen at the Campbell office. Be sure to ask for George Ramirez, he is so awesome and he will make sure all your needs are taken care of asap. I guarantee you will receive top notch service!"
"Reading previous reviews, DO NOT,and I repeat, DO NOT wait 60 days prior to your move out date from your current residence to start looking for one of these rental homes. It took us over 4 months to get one of these homes, day after day, email after email, checking if there is availability by your move out date. (2020) They are pricey, we got the Hacienda model, our rent with pet fees was $1,545, normally would rather pay that for a much bigger house and backyard but they were reasonable with breed restrictions while others were picky and most places would rather rent to husband & wife, not family members. Off tops, the carpet smelled like pet urine, the freezer rack was rusted, the counter tops were chipped, the walls had marks on them, and holes. It doesn't seem like this place was cleaned before moving in. My mailbox has been an issue since we've moved in, it's loose, seems like it's been tampered with, won't close all the way so it looks like someone can just get my mail. Maintenance knocks once on your door and is ready to book it when you don't answer. I have had a wasp issue for WEEKS now. first time the, came and sprayed the nest they found in the tree after they alre dy stung some friends. I took care of the nest the next day, I have found about 5 wasps in my laundry room. I told them they are coming in from a hole on the roof and the vents, they said they came and looked and found nothing, same day I found 4 more wasp nest and the day after 3 more wasps in my laundry room. I've called the office and maintenance numerous times, the office told me it's our responsibility, I spoke with someone in the office in regards of periodic extermination per the lease and she stated spraying outside the house was apart of that, but one lady tells me it's not I need to handle it. I have young children and dogs in my household who don't need to be stung. There was mold in both bathrooms, the fan went out in the master bedroom, they told us we had to move all the furniture in order to fix it, mind you the bed was pretty heavy, literally would have to have people come move it. So, thereno ceiling fan in the summertime. (2022)Renewal of the lease has been a MESS. Tucson Rental Homes was bought out by Cortland, rent jumped, No appliances are updated in the current homes. My lease was up in February 2022, I renewed due to a few situations, if I had the chance I wouldn't of renewed. Tenants were informed of the changes in late December. The new owners gave the tenants a 10 day grace period for transitioning into the new portal for rent. I wrote a check for January and when February came, it was a disaster. I called the office due to multiple discrepancies in regards of the amount I owed, on the portal the first time, it stated $1812, I called and they quoted me 1600 something but they would get back to me and let me know, they get back to me and I was quoted 1526, so I paid the 1526, mind you they had me in there as a month to month, so the amount was still showing over $2k. I paid the 1526, then come to find out I owed more after I just made a payment which was inconvenient. Couldn't really enjoy the pool area, was always swarmed with wasps, never had this problem at other apartments, maybe a bee or so but never this many wasp. Very frustrating, my dishwasher goes out after we've been her for over 2 years, they come to replace it with a "new" dishwasher, ridiculous it was used and nasty inside. All this money they make from us with upcharging rent, new appliances out of the package would be more appreciated. My skylight in the bathroom was cracked due to the roofers being extremely aggressive. Also, mold was forming around the walls beneath the skylight. I put in a request for them to take care of the issues, but they couldn't take care of the mold until the skylight was fixed, I put this request in March 2023, and now it's May 2023 and they are barley taking care of the skylight, so the mold has just been there, it's unreachable for us to take care of the problem ourselves. (Aug 2023)Money hungry company, don't move here."
"I've been living here for almost a year. It feels like living in a house. Nice size rooms. Large kitchen with an island. Nice size backyard. Quiet area."
"Cortland has honestly been nothing but a joy to work with. Any time I have an issue it gets resolved immediately. Thank you for your amazing customer service!!"
"I had lived in the Tanque Verde community from 2017-2019 and moved back to Tucson to end up in the same community! The units are bright and open with big windows and sky lights! I do wish however, the one bedroom had a little bigger closet. I don't have a lot, but still had to purchase a small garment rack. I do enjoy being close to Sabino Canyon, Saguaro Nat'l Park east, and Mt Lemmon. The neighborhood is quiet and close to resturants, grocery store, or any other convenient store you may need. Park Place Mall is close as well. Marie"
