"Horrible management skills, horrible horrible place to live I still reside here. I still have a hole in my closet from them fixing the tub that they just spray-painted over tub is chipping. They just fixed my draining issue in the tub and left a hole in closet Half the house, electricity does not work outlet in the master bedroom does not work outlet in the kids room does not work. Have to run extension cords. I just called corporate and we’ll see if they respond in a timely manner"
"If I could give 0 stars.. started renting in October 22 just after Scotia bought the complex the previous owners did not hand over any of our information to the new management and that should’ve been our sign to go elsewhere. move in day I filled out our paper work with all problems I noticed in the apartment including the bathtub was not draining at all. This took over 3 months to get fixed (the end of January) and was only done half way. The first four months we spent emptying the bathtub with a bucket after every shower because it would not drain. The plumbers were finally sent out in January and drilled a hole in our closet that remained open for another 2 months before the maintenance team filled the hole with dirt and put a piece of dry wall on the wall (how it still remains today). From January until may every month our gas bill was going up 20$ at first I thought it was the heater because of winter time but we only used the heater the end of January beginning of February. By may our gas bill was over 100$ and next thing you know our apartment is flooded by a water heater leak. Luckily it didn’t completely bust however plumbers come out to replace the water heater and tell the apartment they are not willing to put in the new water heater until the closet flooring is replaced as it was completely soaked and caving in. Maintenance says they will install the heater them selves plumbers leave and maintenance drills a piece of plywood into the (damaged) bottom of the closet without even drying the underneath and puts the water heater in. I asked the office if they will test for mold because the water heater had to have been leaking for months as shown by our gas bill and they say no however they send out a 3rd party vendor to inspect damage on the walls (Friday). Monday rolls around and I haven not heard anything from the office but I have a 3rd party vendor knocking at my door saying they’re there to cut out wet drywall and dry inside the walls. Not only that but management gave them a key to enter my apartment. This is completely unacceptable as there was 1. No one from scotia with this vendor to go into my apartment and 2. No notice of entry if I was at work I would’ve come home to torn out walls with no idea what was happening. I called regional management over this and they told me that all 3rd party vendors are approved for entry and I said no they’re not only people that work for Scotia can enter and must have notice. The manager argued with me saying this was an emergency situation, ok if it was an emergency than why did you wait all weekend to have someone come out. That doesn’t seem like it was emergent to you. Now paid electricity to run 8 fans in my apartment to dry out wet walls cause by leak that was not my problem and yet I am not receiving reimbursement for electricity costs. Another 3rd party comes out to fix the drywall and only removed half of the wet drywall and just plasters over the other (physically damaged) drywall. The vendors got paint, plaster and texture on my personal belongings as well as all over the flooring. Not to mention they put in new gates in the back yard and vendor is using my electricity on their power drills and I and I bet every other neighbor did not get reimbursed for these costs. Half my back yard was blocked off for a month which included them blocking the dryer off from the rest of the house and I had to go around the entire complex with my laundry just to dry my clothes. Now that it’s summer time I am thankful I am paying a premium for an upgraded unit with AC except the AC doesn’t work and it gets to be over 80 degrees inside the coolest room everyday. Called maintenance and they said the AC unit is too small to efficiently cool the apartment but since it’s not blowing hot air there was nothing they could do. I complained to the state to which the apartment was told to send out a vendor and it is now 2 weeks since the vendor was supposed to come out, apartment has done nothing to rectify. That’s not everything but all the review space allows. Do NOT rent."
"If you want a swimming pool do not count on it here. The pool has been closed with one problem after another, closed more often than open on .this the hottest summer in history. Sad for families with youngsters. Two weeks ago I posted these comments. The pool remains closed and has been for approaching five weeks and another three weeks for a previous closure. When I complained to the office they said they were working on it. To be honest management has been very good responding to maintenance issues in my unit and promptly. That said they are unable or unwilling to keep the pool up and running. Maybe they are waiting for Labor Day to declare the pool closed for the season....wait it is closed."
"We just moved in we love the apartment it’s been remodeled our apartment was clean without and insects. The back yard is spacious with a secure fence and gate. The washer and dryer are new as are the other appliances. The management can’t be beat they are outgoing and friendly as well helpful. I strongly recommend this property it’s under excellent management who clearly cares about their tenants."
"BAD MANAGEMENT. PLEASE READ IF LOOKING TO APPLY. Apartment wise, the apartments are very nice and well maintained. I cant say the same for some of the roads to your apartments. Be mindful when applying here where the apartment location is and make sure you're okay with the amount of potholes/ the alleyways you have to go through before hand. Management here is horrible. Make sure you tour the apartment and confirm with management what apartment you are moving into, when you are moving and how much you will be paying. Make sure to have all of this in writing from the office. Lots of miscommunication and lies from the leasing office. Have a paper trail! This complex never followed up with us regarding our move in date and would avoid our calls. $300 down the drain due to their poor communication skills."
