"March 2024 Edit- This is not satire. I am a teacher that lives at the Icon Apartments, and in the course of a year all four annual breaks were interrupted by nonsense. I was looking forward to my spring break starting next week, and I just received notice that unit-by-unit inspections are happening on one of two possible days. Somebody in the office must look at the school calendar and think scheduling something inconvenient any time a family might be trying to spend quality time together is hilarious. If you make the poor choice to move into an apartment with Scotia Group, you will deeply regret it. I’m counting down the days until my lease ends this summer. Final note- While the rule here is no marijuana, if the International Space Station drifted over the Icon Apartments, the astronauts would definitely smell weed from space. January 2024 Edit- Earlier in my review, I said I was a teacher who relies on the four annual breaks to maintain good mental health. I lamented that the mismanaged solar panel project cost me both summer vacation and fall break 2023. Well, I’m now on winter break 2024, and the solar crew came back to “check something” on the roof and jackhammer equipment out of the parking lot that it had previously sealed up. Scotia Group is comically evil. Once it takes root in your community, the up-selling and noise never ends. I can’t wait to not have a spring break in March. October 2023 Edit- I’m going to leave my old review up, since I loved living at the Ironwood Apartments as managed by TransWest. However, life at the Icon Apartments as managed by Scotia Group is measurably horrible. The new company immediately began implementing faux-luxury improvements like white paint over classic red brick (it looks as dumb as it sounds), and also took some aggressively invasive actions like swapping windows when I wasn’t home and leaving shards of glass in my son’s bed (there was supposed to be a 24 hour notice to move furniture). Heading into summer 2023, we were warned about a solar panel installation project. We’ve now lived through five months of stomping on the roof with no end in sight. I’m a teacher, and I lost my whole summer vacation to construction noise, and today marks the first day of fall break and nothing has changed. The offers on my new lease indicates that no energy savings were passed onto tenants. The staff in the office is cool enough, but there’s only so much you can do when you work for the actual devil. I had to sleep in my car the week I was home with COVID-19. Original review- I have enjoyed living at Ironwood Apartments since November 2019. Previously, I’ve only rented within those sprawling communities where you are shown a model unit on a golf cart tour. Those are fine until you need help, and then management doesn’t want to bother with you. As other posters stated, Stephanie is a very dedicated, thoughtful and efficient community manager and on top of everything at all times. The COVID-19 situation has likewise been handled with precaution and care. The neighbors I have around me are very friendly, and our maintenance specialist is responsive and thorough. I teach high school English for a living, and like coming home to my apartment at Ironwood. *I don’t want to discredit the recent post about parking, so I’ll say while it is tight I’ve never not been able to find a spot ~yet~ but some nights have been close."

Maintenance for grass or dog area is left without care for weeks, dog bags are never available for tenants, when it rains there’s massive puddles that are hazardous, the water gets turned off every month or unexpectedly when you are showering, washing dishes or about to do laundry. Laundry system is fickle. Anyone that has took the position to try and manage doesn’t last, overall just frustration when it comes to parking, walking or living at this complex. Only decent thing are the neighbors because they mind their own and care about the complex. For the price of this place there needs to be on duty reporting for things that need daily reviewing and ensure everything is working properly & communicating properly with those that decide to work here and reside here."

"Have lived here for almost 2 years. Nice place to live in the beginning. Now we have the unhoused people living in our dumpster area and stealing things from people's patios. In the past couple of months it has became worse. I so hope things get taken care of cause my stars use to be a 5. Slowly going down hill. Don't feel so safe living here now with lack of security."

"I've been a resident here for over a year. I'm loving the new improvements!! The new landscaping is beautiful. My experience with Justin has been extremely positive. He is knowledgeable, professional. I'm glad to say I will be renewing my lease."
