"EDIT: The previous owner (the one before the most recent owner) is returning to manage the store again mid-February, which is amazing news! I think the quality of the food and service is going to increase massively, since it had been on a decline with the most recent owner. -- The food quality has diminished but it still holds a special place in my heart I can tell you that the most recent owner has been evicted, so expect another change in ownership Whether or not the store will improve, or even remain as "Chicagoland," I can't say. I would be heartbroken if the Chicagoland brand went away forever, since I believe this is the last location in Arizona, if not the country."

"Okay so love the food for the most part! BUT I WOULD PASS OUT If I worked here. I feel horrible for the employees! Ive gone here for years and its always hot! Bosa nextdoor is so nice and cool! Dont eat here inside. Just waited for my order over 20 minutes and it was so HOT I feel sick! UPDATE: I hope owner contacts me we are halfway through our sandwiches and have MOLD on our bread! "So they were understaffed today, and the young gentleman was running his tail off trying to cover everyone. So consider this a management review, not for the helpful young man who was put in a difficult position. Polish sausage was burnt black, so the charred flavor was overwhelming (see picture). The Italian beef was ... bland(?) Surprising, because I liked it the last time I had it here. Just rather flavorless. I haven't given up on them yet. But I was down the road before I discovered the burnt polish sausage, and didn't want to travel all the way back... So this visit was a $20 loss I guess. Note for management: instead of writing a note that you are understaffed and simply asking customers to be patient... Perhaps offer to discount your product from full price during the times you can't provide full service and quality. Just a thought. And kudos again to the young man who did his best in a bad situation."

"It's not a bad little place. It's better than most hot dog places. I usually don't eat hot dogs, but if I do, it needs to be all beef. I also prefer grilled. This place is worth a visit. Especially since I am not sure what a great hot dog looks like. I have limited experience at restaurants that serve this kind of food."

"Who doesn’t love a good hotdog, keyword on Good! Chicagoland is a great hotdog spot in Mesa serving up some of the classics. If your hungry, get the Ditka...you won’t regret it. The burgers and sides are tasty too and the staff is friendly and efficient. 10.02.22 EDIT: Over the last couple of months I have visited here a few times. The staff seems newer, but still very nice, but the food quality has been lacking. This is mainly in the bread/bun area. On my last three visits I have had hard/stale buns and bread with one visit where I ended up just tossing the bread portions and eating the hot dog and Italian beef by itself. This type of thing is something that the food preparer would notice but serve anyways. Because of this, I have lowered my rating to 3 Stars. When they are on their game, Hot Dogs & More is a great spot but as of late, the food experience has been subpar."
