"Management has changed since the reviews from 2/3 years ago from this date and they’ve been helpful my entire time there. But there’s still issues with hot water, internet and bugs. Also, they’re managed by WR Management, who is difficult-practically impossible- to get in touch with, especially since I was hoping to have rental history to move into my own house after saving up for one, and they demand cash, check or money orders for all payments. Despite all of this, it was a nice starter home, and I was pretty happy here!"
"This is a decent sized apartment complex with only studio units. If you're starting out on your own, are living on a budget to attend the local community college, or have a full time job and want to save up, Ocean View is the place to go. It is a bit outdated with the furnished appliances/furniture, but with new management (whom I came to know prior to moving) they are hoping to make helpful changes more suited to the desert climate and comfort of their tenants. It is easy to make the studio your own personal space. The Country Wash Laundromat is down the street heading West if the site's laundry facilities are down or in need of service. The Dollar General is down the way as well with Albertson's across from it and Smart&Final Extra across from Rite Aid on the intersection of Hobsonway and 7th Ave. Only set backs to these apartments are: - the walls are thin, so be courteous to your neighbors - the gate entrance doesn't work too well but the exit does; only one way into and out of the complex - the pool was currently under construction/demolition the whole 7 months I lived there Keep in mind for your security deposit, $100 is charged to clean and sanitize the unit after you move out. Additional charges may be made if there was any damage to your unit if not documented prior to you moving in or reported during your tenancy. The $100 cleaning fee was no problem for me as I know basic cleaning supplies is a good effort when moving out and leaving the place as you had it when you first arrived. If you have a pet, meet with the management for approval based on behavior, breed, and size. If you have any problems or concerns with neighbors, teenage hooligans, or unit issues, let Barbara (the current manager) know. She was very helpful to me in my last 2 months there when she took over and really looks into concerning matters. I hope she sticks around as long as she can. Thank you, Barbara!"
"This place is a dump! I have one minute of hot water in the shower. They have bugs (see photo). The property manager is unprofessional, mentally unstable and a childish lunatic. She gets pleasure in harrassing tenants. I have never lived any place like this before. Do not waste one penny here."
"The apartment I got was dirty, as if no one had lived here in months. Dust everywhere, bugs throughout the room, rude staff that did not want to help with the bug situation at first. Managment doesn't seem to speak English well enough either. I wouldn't wish this place upon my enemies."
