"I had a great appointment with Dr James, I feel confident that I have finally found the right doctor! The downside to this office is the ridiculous amount of paper and patient charts that are 6” thick. How can an office work efficiently in this day and age with working with paper charts? There are people behind the front desk scrambling through patient charts and trying to organize them. I have a complicated medical history and I’m concerned my information will be lost. Time to reorganize and start using a computer system. It’s time to move forward!!"
"Agree with previous post. As a new patient (5 months ago) the process was easy. I saw Dr Andressen is thoughtful, diligent and solid "bedside" manner. The front desk/staff who helps with questions/scripts is great and they follow up! Rare in today's world. Highly recommend."
"Internal Medicine of Arizona are wonderful people and they work very hard. I was referred to the practice by a longtime patient of Dr. Kuhl, the founder. I was surprised to read the negative reviews by some. Most of the problems identified were the fault of the complaining patient and not the practice. I have never had to wait for service because the practice follows a strict schedule. If you arrive late to your scheduled appointment and they didn't follow the 10 minute rule, it would cause everyone else to be late. Tardiness affects everyone down the service chain. Solution: Allow extra time for your travels. There are always accidents, etc., and these events are foreseeable. To the mother of three that was offended, look around you. The nurses and clericals that work there have children too. They have schedules in their lives, child care pickups and dinners to prepare. Due to their schedules they may not be able to stay late due to the tardiness of patients for their appointments. As for the person complaining about paper records and thick files, isn't it nice that we don't have to hear the words "the computer is down" and be told that they can't help us due to problems with technology? With paper records, our history is always in front of the provider and allows them to better assist their patients in a timely manner. I am very impressed with the level of service and have recommended the practice to friends as well. Five Stars from me."
"If I could give this place zero I would. Not only is their staff unprofessional but extremely rude!!!! Talked to Marlene or Darlene whatever her name is doesn’t even matter since she is clueless…in the billing department and swiftly tried to get me off the phone instead of helping me. Informed her to transfer me to her manager Breanna and left a voicemail. The manager ended up calling me back but only to talk over me and then hang up without letting me speak! So being unprofessional and horrible people is just the tone and environment this office brings.. run the other direction.. so many better doctors office’s out there with great administration as well!"
"I’ve been going to IMA for about three years. I scheduled an appointment today because I had an infection that I needed to have treated. My appointment was scheduled for 11:45. Traffic was heavier than I anticipated and I arrived at 11:55. I was informed that “they have a strict 10 minute policy” and they’d be happy to reschedule me. I tried to explain that I had an infection that really needed to be treated and they refused to see me. I’ll be moving my records to a places that actually cares for their patients!"
