"I'm giving one star because of their lack of grace and customer service. I had to redo a sleep study after 5 years to review my prescription. So I picked up a thumb ring that I was to wear overnight. In my sleep it came off my thumb and when I called the next morning to ask of I could use it the next night they said it would cost an extra 150 dollars which I already paid once. I said so if I bring it back can i puck up another? That's more money as well. They try and collect any way they can. Also no tech in that could give me a new test. So I asked can I bring back my current one when the tech is in? So I don't have to make 4 trips. They said that would be 150 late fee. Very inconvenient and expensive, when choosing a sleep center be sure to steer clear of valley sleep canters"
"Dr. Don Townsend is amazing, and his totally help me through my insomnia. Unfortunately, the company he works for, Valley Sleep, is really difficult to work with. They want you to schedule appointments online, but then have no record of those appointments even when you show them an email confirmation. If you call, you frequently wait 20 to 40 minutes only at the very end to be told they’re not excepting phone calls and to leave a message. They’ll also try to get you to do a sleep study first. But honestly, it’s worth all the hassle to get an appointment Dr. Townsend."
"Dr. Townsend is a caring and conscientious person. He guided me over the course of only three sessions to get my insomnia under control. The first few weeks of sleep restriction therapy were tough but well worth the effort. I am now able to sleep consistently and with shorter deeper sleep."
"Dr. Townsend was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a solution at the first appointment that I could implement right away which helped a lot with insomnia. He is very prompt and detailed in answering any question I have and usually the response is the same day. Also, he reaches out on a regular basis to see how the plan is working and I can honestly say I’ve never had any else do that before so that was reassuring. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help with their sleep issues!"
"I am so grateful that I found Dr Townsend. We are so lucky to have him here in the valley of the sun. He is highly competent, caring and he clearly wants to help. I first saw him in July of 2019 for severe insomnia. Within a few weeks, I went from sleeping 0-4 hours a night to 5-7 hours a night. In fact, I started sleeping better the first week and kept getting better after that. It only took 2 visits. Dr Townsend checks up on you after visits via emails, text or phone. He makes sure the sleep plan you created together is working and he provides advice on how to tweak it when certain aspects do not go as planned. I saw him again in November of 2020 after a mental breakdown, while I was under treatment for severe depression. It only took 1 visit and less than a week after I started sleeping 5-7 hours per night again, which allowed the therapy to kick in. He kept checking on me well into December via email. I found out that in order to treat depression with therapy, you have to be rested for your mind to take it in. THANK YOU Dr Townsend! Your caring treatment was instrumental in my recovery."
