"Front desk will hang up on you, they'll Schedule a phone appointment with the doctor everytime you need a refill for your medication, i had to see the doctor 3 times a year just to refill the same Medication, All just to charge your insurance"

"With just calling this place I can tell they have no empathy for patients. Doctors or office manager should focus on who they hire for "Front Desk Representative" as they are our first contact with the doctors here. Person answering the phone was very blunt and seemed like she couldn't wait to hang up the phone when calling for basic questions. I double checked this was the correct location I called."

"Dr. Patel's office rejected a refill of my prescription from my online pharmacy. This was for a medication Dr. Patel let me know I should be on indefinitely only 3-4 months prior. The reason given was "our policy is that if you have not been seen within 3 months you need to see the Dr. before we provide a refill authorization. The trouble is, when I asked the office staff when my last visit was, they confirmed it was within this window. I was told they would get back with me after speaking with Dr. Patel. They did not. I called again in a couple days and asked about this and again did not receive a return call. By the next call I was upset. I told the receptionist that my next call would be to the AZ Medical Board. The receptionist called back and said it had been mailed a few days prior. As with many times with Dr. Patel's office, I was not informed of this. I then received a letter from Dr. Patel stating that I should find a new Dr. My pleasure! I found his office staff unprofessional and view this 3 month policy and the rejection of my refill as a clear case of profiteering. The US medical system is rife with gouging and this seems a clear case of trying to squeeze every penny out of patients. UPDATE - Dr. Patel says policy was followed but the plain fact is his office staff DID NOT contact me as promised. Nor was this the first time. My fiancee got a COVID vaccine here although her primary is a different doctor. She experienced the same. I find it particularly telling that only after I DID mention contacting the AZ Medical Board did I get a call back, and it was lightning quick! They will call back to prevent a complaint instantly but not to serve patients. Also, not one time was I rude or belligerent."

"So lucky and convenient to have Dr. Patel’s urgent care nearby! It was only my first time at this practice and I’ll be sending all my family here from now on. Great bedside manner and very professional staff made the entire process easy and felt very covid safe. The form online simplified the whole process and there’s a lot of parking. The staff is kind and friendly, you can tell they care. Had an appointment but it’s good to know they take walk-ins as well. Thanks Dr. Patel for being so patient and answering all my questions!"
