"We contracted Beau to upholster the seats and install a new top on a 69 Camero convertible. His work was OK but he never quite finished anything. He was constantly requesting a cash draws as we went along, with a sob story about why he needed the money. He always promised to complete each phase on time, but never did. In fact, after receiving another cash draw several months ago, he began not answering calls and never returned to complete the convertible top and door panel installations. If you hire him, do NOT pay him any money until the job is done."

"RUN AWAY!!!! This has been the worst experience ever. Beau (the owner) took our deposit at the beginning of February. Finally got our boat into the shop one month later at the beginning of March. Beau quoted us 2-3 weeks. He told us boat was completed so we drove 3 hours round trip. Vinyl not even finished and no apology. We went back the next to get our boat today, more than 2 months later, unfinished because he refused to finish. It has been one excuse after another why it has taken so long. He doesn't answer the phone and only texts back if he needs something. Has asked us to PayPal him more money 2 times because he needed gas money and to pay bills. Very unprofessional. He has told us 11 times in the past month that the boat would be completed "tomorrow." Never finished. He became belligerent and threatened to put a lien on our boat if we didn't give him an extra $1000. It's been very stressful and NO WAY I WOULD WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE HAVE!!!!"

"When I first reached out to Dickerson upholstery about redoing the upholstery in my 1949 Cadillac, I was impressed with the selection and the interaction I had with him the first couple times. Since then unfortunately after paying $1,100 for material and labor they've stopped answering my phone calls and I haven't been able to get any information about the progress of the project. While I did express the fact I was in no big rush to have it done, I certainly hadn't anticipated it taking 6 months. At this point, as frustrating as it is, I'm willing to part ways provided I get all the material I paid for and the seat frames and door panels I have provided them minus the labor for work not completed. I can't comment on the actual quality of their work so won't rate them based on that, I can speak, however, to the apparent theft of money and property. And based on that alone I would not recommend Dickerson upholstery for any project. Use them at your own risk."
