"Mattress sagging in the middle after 5 years!!! Even though we have a 10 year warranty, Sherwood refuses to communicate with us on a warranty claim after several attempts!!! Go to Amazon and buy a mattress for a third of the cost."
"It is horrible to go thru their warranty process. We were mislead on what would happen if there was a problem with our bed. The bed sank before 2 years was up. Customer service was horrible and no help"
"I purchased a Sherwood Mattress 2 years ago at a local retail mattress store. During my initial visit, I had decided on a Sherwood Mattress, mainly because it fell under the color coding they do for the "feel" of the mattress, the way I sleep etc, to decide on a mattress as well as the cost of the mattress. I specifically discussed the type of bed I had at the time, platform bed, 14 slats from top to bottom on both sides, center support beam, all the proper support in place, and I was advised this was perfectly fine, and would not in any way void warranty. It came with a 10 year warranty. Not even one year later, the mattress started to dip in the middle, become lumpy and really hurt my back and made it impossible to sleep on. When I contacted the retailer regarding these issues, the inspector came out, and it had sunk in well over the normal wear and tear. I believe 2 plus " in my case. It was obvious to the inspector and the lady I spoke to at Sit N Sleep Corporate offices when the photos and inspection arrived, that this mattress was defective. Upon review, I was told that I suddenly did not have the proper support on my bed frame, because it did not include 3 legs down the middle. As ridiculous as that was and something neither the Sales Agent, or Corporate had even ever heard of, I purchased LEGS to place down the center of the bed frame and support beam, had another inspection to confirm this and was able to choose another Sherwood mattress. 7 months to be exact, this mattress, too, was dipping into the center and I'm having to sleep on the edges and rolling inward; My back is hurting and I am unable to sleep comfortably. Prior to purchasing a new bedroom set, I contacted Sherwood Cooperate offices in Arizona, just to speak with someone and confirm, once again, that the bed and box spring that I intended to purchase will be sufficient support for this Mattress made of Gold. I was, once again, told as long as it had the legs, which I already knew about, and it did, standard box spring if bed needs box spring, which I have, all fell under the proper support. I knew what to ask because of the first experience. I made sure again, the 2nd time. I called, I spoke to someone in DETAIL prior to a purchase. I was and had always followed the requirements and took very good care of my mattresses. Well, here we are, another inspection. Inspector once again, confirms that there is an obvious dip in the center and advised that he has seen numerous Sherwood mattresses during his inspections, with the same complaints, and the same defects. I am all of 135 lbs. I sleep in the bed alone. I am not large or heavy enough to damage a mattress. I rotated the mattress at least 3 times in the short time I've had this 2nd one, to see if it would feel better. It wasn't. The mattress has always had mattress covers on it. It looks brand new, which under a year is considered brand new, yet these mattresses keep sinking and falling in. I receive and email from Allen Josephson in Arizona, not sure what he is there, advising me that I AM the one this is non-compliant with the warranty due to structural damage not caused my manufacturer. That my bed frame once again does not have the proper support according to the warranty. And that I should have never been granted or approved for the 1st replacement. If I was approved, then I'd have to pay $300 to ship the new mattress on top of it. What kind of company is this? They need to properly train their retailers and corporate staff on product and warranty. I NEVER EVEN GOT A COPY OF THE WARRANTY. Just quotes about what it supposedly says and he won't send it to me. Customer service is zero/none. The product is terrible. Now I'm stuck with a $1K mattress that is causing me back aches and so far 4 trip to the chiropractor. Yet, I'm the one that is non -compliant. I would advise to never purchase any Sherwood products. They DO NOT stand behind them and they might as well not even say there is a warranty because it's useless. Deserving of a non-existing rating."
"We bought an organic latex king sized mattress for $2,000 and had it for less than seven years before it started deteriorating beneath us. When we tried to warranty the mattress they looked for loopholes to slip out of their obligation, rather than try to retain us as customers. They claimed that the reason the bedding was deteriorating was because there wasn't sufficient support beneath the mattress, but the mattress was sitting on boxsprings on top of a common and popular IKEA bed. If you are going to spend that kind of money on a mattress, look elsewhere."
"It is not sherwood bedding any more"
