"This easy to miss hotel on a busy street is fantastic. The charm is in the history of this once mansion. Take the history tour they offer for free! It brings to life the building and surroundings and is fun to learn more about where you're staying! The grounds are a maze, so don't think you can find your way to your room - they will have a personal guide to take you. The grounds and facility are beautiful and an oasis from a busy day. I couldn't find a single weed anywhere on the grounds and there are hidden nooks and seating areas to read and relax and even nap. Every single staff member encountered was happy, smiling, and eager to help in any way. Lovely stay!!"
"We didn’t spend the night but came for the day. We had a wonderful massage service and lounged by the pool. Friendly and helpful staff, drinks by the pool were lovely! We ordered lunch by the pool as well. The portions are rather large so recommend sharing if you’re not that hungry."
"Friday started off badly, and the weekend ended up worse. We had booked 2 rooms, but when we arrived at noon, we were told we could not get into our rooms until 4 pm. We agreed to upgrade to a cabana for $900/night, That was our first mistake because the expensive cabanas have very loud food and housekeeping carts roll by all day and night - so loud that you can hear every loud cart through the windows, and feel the gyrations through the mattress from 5 am through the day until 2 am. The wedding band was so loud that we also heard it through the windows, andI felt it through the floor To pay $900 + per night and not be able to think or sleep is ridiculous. I complained about smells coming into the room from the hotel kitchen and requested to be moved to a different room - however, it took them more than 30 min to respond, and by that time, my husband was taking a 30 min nap (after being up all night listening to the neighbors next door arguing until 3 am). When i asked if we could wait 30 minutes - the manager said "no". For the price paid, I was shocked. Can't wait to leave. Also forgot to say that the loudspeaker system for the wedding service was broken, and again, they should have had someone fix it. Terrible experience."
"Just left and can’t wait to go back! We stayed here for my bachelorette party/birthday party and were very impressed by the level of service, cleanliness of the rooms (a bit outdated but still nice) and the beauty of the resort itself. They are meticulous in keeping up with the day to day of the resort, cleaning the pools and keeping the common areas dirt free, it’s impressive. It’s easy to get questions answered and they’re very friendly. We spent a decent amount of time on the resort, the dining at T Cooks was excellent and we also loved the spa day that we had. I plan to come back in the future with my soon to be husband because this is an ideal couples vacation too!"
"Really a classy place. The service was wonderful and we were welcomed with champagne and escorted to our room. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Enjoyed breakfast in T Cooks and found service there also to be wonderful. It was a wonderful weekend and it will go on our list of favorite resorts in the area. I only wish they had more indoor spaces for when the weather isn’t ideal to sit outside. Apart from the restaurant and bar, there weren’t any indoor spaces I was aware of where you could sit and unwind. There is no lobby- just an office where ups check in. Take note of this if traveling in winter or summer. It would be perfect late February through May and October through December."
