"Stay away from this place. HVAC was not working and the staff did nothing to resolve the issue. Definitely not the quality of product I am looking for when traveling. Management was not responsive to my needs as a customer. There were no available rooms with 2 beds as a solution and the only work that was done by maintenance was to drop off 2 box fans. You lack of integrity and attempt to provide any accountability for your actions is unacceptable"

"Kudos to the staff, for doing their best as the hotel around them falls apart. Doubletree is the neglected stepsister of the Hilton brand, and this one is worse than a lot of others. The cement hallway outside my room was covered in grease stains; and the vending machine outside my door was all but empty. Inside my room, the safe didn't work and there was an iron but no ironing board; and the sink was stopped up and slow. At the restaurant, you couldn't always be sure you would get something to eat. Twice, I was told that they were short staffed, and that we would face long delays."

"No elevator unless you spend extra money to stay in the tower. Also the gates only lock you out of the court yard and offer absolutely 0 security to the guest rooms not in the tower. Room was musty when I first walked in and AC took 3 hours to even cool it off and it still melt musty. Rooms updated but you get basic cable. No streaming services. Wifi slower than a turtle unless you pay extra for it. Also no free breakfast. Don’t bother eating at the javelina restaurant. Food was cold and service was terrible. Waitress was pushy for me to hurry up and order and when I ordered food was out in less than 5 min. Food was not fresh. They must have a buffet style holding system. Rice was dry, beans cold and chicken had no flavor and was very watery like they added water to heat and keep it from drying out. Response to their response. I have never seen a security guard walk around the premises."

"Overall experience was fine and location is great, but I guess I expected more for the price. Breakfast is not included. Parking is fine and the staff were nice. Our room was clean and comfortable, but the downside was that we were in a corner room next to the elevator, which was incredibly loud up until around 10-10:30pm. Then, around 4am traffic on it would pick up again and you could hear it in the room — even with the tv on. It woke me up a few times the first night, but I got used to it and it wasn’t such a big deal the second night. Still, it was a little frustrating, especially for the price."

"I stayed at the Tucson-Reid location on Thanksgiving day and was very disappointed-- 2 stars is generous. I DO NOT recommend this hotel. The hotel's exterior is very old & poorly maintained. Although the interior was decorated, the hotel is very outdated & old. My room looked equivalent to a stay at a decent motel- carpet was dirty, bedding was stained, beds were poorly made up, refrigerator under the TV was unplugged/not working, bathtub was dirty. I immediately requested a room change, and was moved to a "better" room in the main building (near the lobby), but unfortunately, the quality was not much better. I did not feel comfortable showering in the room, so I made other arrangements with family I was visiting nearby. The only positives were the warm cookies at the front desk & the friendliness of the attendant who checked us in. I DO NOT recommend this hotel."
