"I'm a member of the ThunderbirdForum, and have been watching the saga of a member who first contracted with J&R (all the way from Alaska) to custom make a boot for his Retro Thunderbird. J&R sent him the first version in July 2020, which was too floppy, and was returned. By March 2021, that member was still waiting for the final version. Today another member said he'd sent J&R his ORIGINAL boot cover back in Sept. 2020, still hasn't gotten his boot, he made the mistake of paying for the material in advance. This is his post today: "I sent J&R my old boot and money to cover the cost of material then all I get was excuses. You know the kind, the UPS truck crashed or the check is in the mail. He ripped me off. Don't deal with him." Good advice."
