River Valley Inn 1707 Needles Highway, Needles, CA 92363

"I inspected two separate rooms before deciding to leave this review. This motel is a dump. It comes complete with insect infestation, carpet stains which looked like the inside of a mechanic shop and drywall patches that appeared to be installed by a kindergartner. The lighting, ventilation and electrical fixtures are dated with loose and missing mounting hardware. The door locks and handles are also loose with missing mounting hardware. The beds were made poorly made, but included several obvious stains which made me wonder if they had been washed after the last occupants. After lifting pillows, several thick, black hairs about three inches long were found on both beds. Sunflower seed shells were found throughout one of the rooms including the wash basin. No plumbing fixtures or counter/table tops appeared to be cleaned or wiped down. One trash can still had garbage."

"Don't let the outside appearance scare you off. We were in Needles late and all other hotels in the area were full. We were out of options so we stopped here. The rooms were surprisingly large and clean. The air conditioning was good and experienced no problems at all. Give this place a try if you want a very nice room at a very nice price. If I am ever in this area again I won't hesitate to stay here again. THANKS!"

"Its a $60 a night room that is no frills. Seemed clean. Shower was hot and had good pressure. The only drawback is it smelled a touch musty. Staff was friendly. If I was in Needles, Ca again I would stay again. I've stayed in worse for much more money. Overall good value."

"Nice rooms at a great price. We stayed for one night, and were able to shower and comfortably rest before heading out early in the morning. It was more spacious than I expected, our only complaint being that there was a cockroach in the bathroom, so watch out for that."

"Room was nice and appeared to have had a recent renovation. Bed was very comfortable and staff was very kind and friendly. Only big issue was that the carpet had a lot of various stains on it, which gave me concerns about the cleanliness. Other than that issue it was a very nice stay especially for the price paid."
