"I have been going to Dr Tovar since he opened his doors in Peoria. I love this dentist and his staff. I have never had a bad experience. I moved to CO 1.5 years ago and can not find a good dentist. I will be working in AZ so guess where my next appt will be!"

"I try not to leave a one star review for anyone unless they deserve it. This guy deserves a zero. Working with this dentist is the equivalent of working with a shady used car salesman. He was a selected from a list from our new insurance plan although I hope they consider removing him after our experience. At the first visit he tried to convince me that I needed to schedule a visit with him at least three times a year even though insurance doesn’t cover it. That should have been enough to know we picked incorrectly however I gave him the benefit of the doubt as he “found a filling that was deteriorating badly” that had been done by the dentist I had been with for the past 15 years before the insurance change. So I booked the appointment to redo the filling, looking back, not sure I really needed it, and now that area is sensitive. Not understanding the new insurance plan I prepaid them for services, but when the explanation of benefits came back they had overcharged by hundreds of dollars. I had to complain to the insurance company for, months later, to finally get a refund. We went from having a “balance on the account” of a little over $20 to receiving a refund of exactly what we overpaid - surprisingly they had figured it out to the penny. However they tried to play it as if they were doing us such a great favor to give the refund, however, we had now “violated our doctor/patient relationship”. Like we would ever book another appointment with this shady office. Beware of this dentist. He’s very much aware of his shady business practices, it’s not an accident. He and his billing personnel purposely try to be as confusing as possible to cover their dishonesty. It’s truly unfortunate that someone that should be a trustworthy professional is such a fraud. I see he has created another Google profile that doesn’t allow reviews. That’s telling."

"Love Dr. Tovar, he's awesome, had my first tooth extraction and a cavity filling with him and he was great. Very calm and honest and did great work. However the lady that does the cleaning is not very polite and was very rough on the cleanings for both my wife and I. Karina, or Katrina, was her name."

"The hygienist, Brooke, took her time and cleaned my teeth really well. Also the lady that works in the front desk is very sweet and cares for the patients coming in to clean their teeth. This place has great customer service and I’m happy to come here."

"Don’t be surprised if the doctor tells you you need a mouth guard He asked me how old I was and said I had a beautiful smile. He then turns around in the same breath and says “that smile won’t last long unless you get a mouth guard. I have been to several other dentist and they told me my teeth were not grinding With the rooms having no ceilings, I have heard him tell other patients that they need one as well. Including my husband. He also insulted the previous work that had been done by one of the best Deniest in Michigan."
