ECCO KIERLAND COMMONS

"I have purchased several pairs of both Ecco golf and dress shoes. I was severely disappointed when my Strike 2.0 Hydromax shoes tore right through the leather last week on the second hole while playing with a client. I purchased these 15 months ago, outside their warranty period, but surely this was not user error and they would at least discuss it. Nope, they had no interest and threatened me with legal action if I said on social media that I would never buy another pair of Ecco shoes. Give it a try. So another pair of Ecco shoes goes in the trash. This is the third pair I have tossed out. The others were spikeless and wore out quickly, even though I made an effort not to walk on surfaces that wear them down fast. I put that down to my error but now I can see that Ecco shoes are just bad. Their cleat holes get loose, I lost 6 cleats in three holes on this pair in the last year, something I have never had happen with a soft cleated shoe before. For one of the more expensive shoes on the market, they should last, but they don't, and Ecco won't even entertain a discussion about it and then they think legal action is the way to go."

"I called the store in Scottsdale on 12/22 for help on a pair of shoes that I bought that are defective. this is after wearing the shoe only 6 times. The person that I spoke with was rude, unprofessional, dismissive, and condescending. Very expensive shoes and and absolutely terrible customer service. I will never purchase another Ecco product again. I wish I could give zero stars. Do better Ecco."

"I just had the most negative and rudest interaction with a store representative at the Kierland Commons store in Scottsdale, AZ. I tried to return my shoes that I purchased in July and was informed of the 30 day return policy. I stated that I had been traveling and if I could receive a credit for another shoe, or some form of alternative solution as the shoes were hurting my foot. The representative, Michael, said that it was not his issue that I was traveling and didn’t find time to return the shoe and handed me the shoe and said have a good day….as in get out of the store. I asked if there were any alternatives and Michael quickly stated that it wasn't his issue that I couldn't find time to return the shoes. This interaction and lack of empathy was horrible customer service and makes me think that the ECCO brand is not customer oriented. I can only compare this with top brands such as Zappos, REI or Nordstroms where they would not disenfranchise a customer in that way and would absolutely find a solution in order to keep me as a loyal customer. As a result of this experience, I will never shop at Ecco again and suggest that other potential customers beware of the bad service. I hope that ECCO has some sort of training program for people facing employees are trained in always being a brand ambassador."
