"i'm at my wits end. Due to health issues, etc. I often called to have groceries delivered. Nothing against the drivers, but it seems like the store gets a kick out of shipping rotten produce and moldy food. Every single order there's some thing I have to return. Or request a refund. I always get a refund, but why do I want to deal with moldy food? this avocado was so rotten. It squirted all over my fingers when I picked up the bag. Disgusting! I've gotten, moldy, mushrooms, moldy bread, moldy oranges… Expired goods. Seriously, Safeway, do better! all of this when I pay monthly for delivery and pay 25 or $30 to have someone drive out to my house."

"This store is awful. They seem to have a "policy" of giving expired produce to the drive up and go customers. I have called the store numerous times and it has continued to happen for months. I am done.... No wonder you are on the verge of bankruptcy. Ever heard of customer service?? Hopefully, the merger will be denied and you all can suffer the consequences. If Target had a full grocery area, you would be out of business."

"Still the same bad management. One of the night co-managers Carmine is a problem. He creates a culture where the employees think they are better than the customers. The other night co-manager Marvin is completely useless."

"I don't normally rate grocery stores but I will this time... I walked in it was a nice looking store very bright the meat counter looked so clean and fancy the produce section was huge and the bakery was huge. Had a Starbucks and a place you can order food in there. The only thing I thought was silly was the bread "aisle" was actually at the opposite end of the store as the bakery, by the bathrooms. I was mostly excited that they sold brown and serve rolls I didn't see them where I lived in Mesa at several different stores! Thank you for having those rolls my boyfriend bis very happy now!"

"Very nice, clean store. The people are very friendly and helpful. Produce section is great and well maintained. And they carry quite a few Ocean Spray products, which I am familiar with because I am a cranberry grower/owner of that company. It's a cooperative of growers, so when you buy Ocean Spray products, you are directly helping those farmers, like me! Thank you Safeway!"
