"I wish I would’ve read the other reviews before shopping here. I wanted to support local, neighborhood businesses but this place makes it difficult. First, the hours are inconvenient. As if home improvement projects don’t go on for hours and hours. But more importantly, they’re rude. I’m sorry, but sometimes I buy extra parts when I’m doing a project so I don’t have to stop in the middle and make multiple runs back to the hardware store. These people act like you’re trying to steal money from them for returning a part that you didn’t need or something that didn’t work right. I returned something today and the two old biddies at the counter were so rude and accusatory you would’ve thought I was trying to reach into their brassiere and steal the emergency twenty dollar bill they had stashed there. I don’t need the hassle or the lack of gratitude for the rest of the money I’ve spent there. The big box store will happily take my money, be open when I need them to be, and return my money with a smile when I buy the wrong part."

"I had the same experience returning something as Michael Williams. The manager was rude when I brought something back to return, even though it was within the 30-day return period. Obviously, they don't like it when someone returns something, and they let you know it with their attitude. My response will be to not buy anything there again."

"They do not cut keys brought to them unless purchased directly from Ace Hardware. Brought a family member’s 2014 Chevy Cruze key fob to match (for a spare key). They would only allow me to purchase a key fob from them for $109.99, citing “legal reasons”. Referred me to a third party key cutting service. A bit silly but policy is policy. Website should be updated to state as such if such is the case."
