"I was there around 8:30 am 8/172023. A man walked in while I was there and he told the clerk he was going to grab something to eat because he had not eaten in days. She 1st told him to leave his backpack at the counter & he said he was going to grab something to eat. She told him no & to leave. (He had some money on him not a lot) so she assumed he was going to steal food. So I went outside & asked him what he wanted. And he said anything he didn’t care. So when I went back inside Marquita the employee told me she would not ring me up if I bought him food. I said why it’s my money. And her statement was I was putting her in danger. Tell me how buying food for a man who left the store was outside not causing a scene putting her in danger. I told her she needs to have compassion for people & she said then take him to McDonald’s and buy him food. What the hell? She was so damn Rude & I go there a lot to this Family Dollar. She didn’t have the right to not sell me other items because I didn’t do anything wrong or cause her any trouble."
