"I was told this was a Thrift Store not Macy's??? Prices are more then full Retail???? Who are They helping with Free donated items?"
"I love Scottsdale Hope Chest! The money goes to help those in need around the community. So many wonderful volunteers work countless hours in order to make the store a success. Thank you SVDP for all you do!"
"I like this store because it has quality items and I almost never leave without a purchase. Every week they have 50% discount so I concentrate on the color tag of the week. This store has name brand clothing and luxury items. Why pay full price when you can get gently used at great prices here? The proceeds go to help the needy. Tuesday is senior discount day, plus they have a frequent shopper rewards program too."
"I understand that the mission statement of these folks is noble and admirable. We didn't have a positive experience with them today. In a charitable act, we scheduled a pickup of two couches that were in good shape as a donation to them. Due to a minor unevenness in the fabric, which they classified as a "rip," they refused to take them. I really couldn't even identify what they were talking about - believe me, it was extremely minor. Because of this a family that could probably have used two decent couches won't get them now. They certainly won't be at the top of our list the next time we have something to give or donate."
"It is a nice store and has some items priced fair. BUT a thrift store should not be selling a donated bicycle for $500 that’s just over the top and having other small items priced well over $100 gives it more of a pawn shop vibe but the clothes are always fairly cheap. Hit and miss on pricing needs to be looked into."
