"I went to that store looking for a cut of glass and had an awful experience due to the poor customer service skills of the floor manager. When entering the store I informed the cashier ( in English ) what I was looking for. She called somebody who turned out to be the floor manager. And here the stereotyping begins. I'm Hispanic, I look Hispanic and I speak English with an accent. " Obviously " the floor manager as soon as she saw me started speaking to me in Spanish and I answered her in English. It is highly offensive to me when someone assume that because I look Hispanic I don"t speak the language of Shakespeare. It turned out that the item I was looking for was not available. Also right before leaving I had the audacity of expressing my opinion in regard to the loud music she was playing in the PA system. ( It was some type of " ghetto " music. She responded by threatening to call the cops on me. It seems that she think that she has the right to impose on customers her taste on music. I just used the right I have of freedom of speech as a citizen and customer. After all, that ls one of the rights for which our vets fought for."

"I purchased a HDMI cable last night at 6:30. It did not fit my system so I tried to rerun it this morning. I was told they could not return it because it was open. No one told me if it was open they could not return it, nor is there anything stated in their return policy about an item being open. It states it needs to be in its original package, with receipt and in new condition. When I returned it, it was in its original package with receipt and brand new. I have always tried to support local businesses, but Ace has lost my business."

"I remember when the Ace at 35th & Southern closed and that was a shame - So happy to have a new one here at 35th & Baseline! Most of us know what we can find and can expect when visiting an Ace Hardware. What makes this one special is the staff. They are friendly, helpful and answer your questions. Once I forgot my monthly coupons and so they used a Veteran discount instead. On another visit I purchased some heavier items and they helped me load the car as I was not supposed to be lifting heavier items. I usually buy items in bulk here and they will take the time to go into the back and bring out a box of something for you - Things like air filters. Lastly, I always have to troll the bargain bin and grab something little at the front that I did not exactly need."

"Butch, one of the gentlemen that works there, spent time to help me get the right parts missing from my pool set. Butch saved me about two hours of finagling on my own. With his expertise, experience, and friendliness, I felt I was working alongside an older father figure rather than some random employee, which I deeply appreciate. Thanks Butch for your time and hard work!! Highly recommend this location!"

"I have never been inside of an Ace Hardware before. I was wondering through the building looking for crafting ideas and such. And I noticed I was being followed by the employees. I thought nothing of it until they asked me to leave! They have a sign on the door that says no backpacks I did not have a backpack. The two African-American employees that work there told me they do not have names and that I was to be escorted out of the building because I did not spend money there! I want to talk to the manager I work in the Shopping Center I will be back to talk to the manager"
