WHEAT's Clothes Silo is a women's boutique and empowerment program located at 4000 North 7th Street in Phoenix, Arizona. Since 1985, the Clothes Silo has been providing economically disadvantaged women with convenient and affordable access to quality clothing and accessories. Through their Client Assistance Program, they help women succeed in the workplace, build careers, and create a better future for themselves and their families.
Clients are referred to the Clothes Silo by social workers from various agencies, schools, and shelters. When a client visits the store, volunteers and staff assist her in finding appropriate attire, boosting her self-esteem and confidence in the process. The Clothes Silo also provides free work wear to women in need, allowing them to allocate their limited resources towards other necessities.
The Clothes Silo is open to the public, encouraging customers to shop secondhand first. Proceeds from purchases support the empowerment programs at WHEAT's Clothes Silo.
