"Forget it. We went there for the first time today. Liked the extensive menu - but when we went to order (and already had our taste buds set for a particular meal) they didn't have it. Would have been easy for them to mark the big menu board with some sort of indicator that it wasn't available... And, the lady who was taking the order didn't apologize or even seem like she cared when we said we'd be leaving because we were hoping to get that particular item. Also, my wife went to use the rest room and the hallway was dark - almost creepy dark. And the lighting in the bathroom was poor also - once my wife figured out which room was the ladies rest room. We won't be going back...too many other choices."

"WORST we have ever had. Where is the health department? We just dumped it in the trash. The Brisket and cornbread both tasted like they had rancid oil on them (not butter on the cornbread). How is this place open? My husband got Curry chicken on rice. It didn't taste like Curry. There was a clump of rock-hard rice, and the veggies were soggy. He didn't bother tasting the chicken for fear of getting sick. We literally took one bite of each dish and tossed it. READ THE RECENT REVIEWS. We wish we did before wasting our money. Nasty!"

"Look at the recent reviews before you go to this restaurant. It seems like this restaurant may have been good at one point, but it’s pretty awful now. We made the mistake of trying this restaurant just based on the overall 4 star average. However, I truly believe this place needs to be shut down. The whole group I ate with got sick from the food. Pros: fried okra was pretty good, sweet tea is good, waffle was fine, restaurant atmosphere was nice. Cons: we were served raw chicken, the oil our food was fried in was obviously old and left a very bad taste in the mouth, corn bread was awful almost like they forgot an ingredient, Mac & cheese was microwave food, coleslaw was unseasoned, meat was poor quality and completely soaked in sauce, everyone in my group of 3 got sick after eating, extremely overpriced."

"Just left this establishment. I gave it an honest chance even after the lady taking the order was rude for no reason. Ended up getting beef/broccoli, catfish and a side of hush puppies (extra $3). Catfish was decent but had an odd smell...even for fish. Beef and broccoli was sad (the beef was extremely thin and EXTREMELY dry and smelled a little spoiled). The part that really irritates me is that the hush puppies (which she made sure to tell me I had to pay extra to get those as a side) were literally hard as rock and burnt. I came here several years ago and it was perfect...not sure what happened but customer service and properly cooked food is not too much to ask for. I came when they first opened for lunch and there was nobody else there. So there was no rush...not busy...no reason to have such a nasty attitude and nasty food...especially right outside of the base smh."

"I was told this place was excellent, so my wife and I ventured down to find out for ourselves. This night there was an Hispanic fellow there manning the BBQ. Honestly I was expecting a big black dude named bubba; we placed our order & surprised again this guy starting cooking and not heating up in some microwave. The portions were very sizable, the wait was far less than I expected and the food was amazing!!! My wife and I have been back 3 times since then and each tine we have not been disappointed. We returned once during the day and the owners sister was back there w/ a couple of other cooks and we had to let her know about the awesomeness of their Hispanic gem along with the rest of their staff. Keep up the good work you have very happy customers."
