"Beautiful scenic drive leading up to the peak! Unfortunately it was super overcast and cloudy on the day that I went, still enjoyable I recommend driving out there and taking a look ! There are outhouses all along the way"
"Best place to catch the sun rise or the sun set! We got a clear evening so we could see for miles! The Palouse hills in the distance did not disappoint! We went during the week so not crowded at all. The sign says it’s open from dusk to Dawn. You do need the discover pass or a day pass. $10 or buy the discover pass online and it’s good for all state parks in Washington and you’ll have it on your phone. Believe the park pass is $35 for the year. The road to get up is almost one vehicle at some spots. Two medium to small cars can easily fit going opposite ways. No railing till you get to the very top. So just drive cautiously if you’re not used to driving up a steep hill. Also there are plenty of pot holes so be aware of the road conditions so you don’t damage your vehicle or tires! Bring your lunch or dinner packed with some drinks and come enjoy the view up top with your friends or loved ones. So worth it! Also, there are some picnic tables and a restroom at the bottom/start of the road out. Be aware of deer as well. We saw a couple going up in the evening. So if you’re still reading this, think no more. It’s worth the trip to catch the amazing views from above! Enjoy!"
"This is a must visit if you are in Eastern Washington during late spring/early summer. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Discover pass is required, else you pay $10 entry fee. The drive to the top takes roughly about 10-12 mins. There are multiple potholes and there are areas where there is no guard railings on the sides. The drive is not tough but can be a little challenging if you are scared of heights. But the views from the top makes everything worth it."
"A must go on your bucket list. I’ve been to many farm lands in many countries . I think the area has the most beautiful countryside in the world. It beats English Yorkshire Dale, French champagne vineyards, Alsatian wine road, and Rhein river valley. Tuscany county country side is 1% of this."
"Be careful on the spiral winding road up and down as it’s a bit narrow and two-way traffic, but the views from the top are worth it. There’s plenty of parking on two levels. There’s some fun and interesting info boards at the top. 360 degree views. Even during the Smokey time when there were fires from crop burns and excessive heat and dry conditions, the views were expansive."
