"BLACK MOLD IN BUILDING 19!! I’ve lived here for almost 2 years, since the very first night, there has been water damage. The maintenance man forgot to plug in the hose on my washer, so my apartment was flooded on the first night. In the bathroom, every time my upstairs neighbor took a bath or shower, it poured through the ceiling into my shower. It also poured from light fixtures (attached photos!) and flooded into my living room, causing water stains all throughout my apartment. They attempted to paint over the stains instead of fixing the issue, so the stains seeped through the new paint. This went on for a year after many failed attempts to fix the ceiling, black mold started growing and it spread like wild fire. Every 24 hours it spread by 5 feet. It was horrendous and I soon started experiencing respiratory issues and had pneumonia twice that summer. They eventually got around to opening up the ceiling and told me not to use my restroom, they gave me keys to various empty apartments, that I would have to walk to across the parking lots. This went on for a month. It was incredibly inconvenient and time consuming in the morning and at any time that I needed to use the restroom. They also left on an industrial fan plugged into my outlet for 3 days straight to dry the chemicals they used to kill the mold. My electric shot up close to $200 that month. They left a hole in my wall and in my ceiling for a year. I would wake up to dead mice in the tub due to the large opening in the ceiling that they didn’t close. My upstairs neighbor also vandalized my car, she keyed my car on both sides, and door dinged both driver and passenger doors. I made numerous police reports and she even used her mother to falsely represent a leasing agent with Northpark. I had to share the ring camera footage with the apartment complex. They were not concerned about the situation. Instead moved her to a different apartment and the vandalism continued because I didn’t know she was still on the property until I watched my ring cameras back. Do not live here, honestly they don’t care about your safety, your health or your property. They will not handle situations with any sort of common sense and the management turnover is a joke. You will have to keep calling and talking to numerous people who say one thing and do another. My health suffered due to the mold and chemicals, my time was wasted having to walk all over the complex every time I needed to use the restroom, and my car is permanently damaged due to the crazy upstairs neighbor that the apartment complex chose to move to another building instead of kicking her out for using her mother to impersonate a leasing agent to try and evict me. And the black mold is starting to grow back."

"When i went to go and tour, i was greeted with such warmth and smiles from all the leasing staff. Jay was probably the nicest and most professional leasing agent i have met this week on my touring journey. The information i received was very well put together and provided me with a sense of care, which a lot of places don't provide. The prices are fair specially with the location of the community with shopping centers, restaurants and even a nature center nearby. Im excited to move forward with my application once the time is right. Thank you to all the staff for showing me around."

"This apartment complex is garbage! I do not recommend to anyone. I lived here for 3 years and I’ve been here longer than the apartment managers. The turnover rate is outrageous. Every time a new manager comes to the property, there’s new rules & they’re all to inconvenience the tenant. Expect your rent rate to continue to increase without any difference in the living space. I put in numerous work orders about my laundry room door missing and the first managers said due to Covid the door was on back order. I kept calling and every time I called it was someone new who didn’t know what I or they were talking about! Anything needed to be fixed, expect to come out of pocket. Everything is the tenant responsibility!! Also expect the property manager to NEVER come to the phone to speak or return your calls. When he does “return” my call, he makes sure to call the wrong # on file. So unprofessional! Save your time and money. Go some place else!"

"Ignoring the fact, that rent is so unbelievably & ungodly expensive for what you are getting, this complex is very good for the price you pay. I was living in a two bedroom, two bath second-floor unit for approximately one year and while there were a handful of miscommunications with maintenance requests, I am pleased with this property. I would recommend that they incorporate an online maintenance reporting system. I think this would make all their lives easier. The location is perfect, as you are close to the University also to Bradley Fair, and Great dining options on the east side. It is an apartment & we live in an era of unfettered capitalism, so property owners are jacking up rates because they can. However, that is not the fault of their staff or maintenance. The property has two in-ground pools, however, the chance that both are open at the same time are next to none. Not a major issue, as the property is an easy walk across. The mailboxes could definitely use an overhaul, however, that would require the property owners to invest money, which isn't their aim. Also, the speed bumps on the property will jack up your car if you go anything over 15 mph. You've been warned. Would I recommend the complex? For the price range, you really are not going to find something nicer and staff that are as available as North Park! Happy renting to all!"

"I love living here! Aside from the grumpy neighbor, this place has been amazing! I rented it sight unseen from FL. The management is awesome. The maintenance is fantastic. Does it have his flaws? Of course. I think I read that it was built in 1985. That’s almost 40 years old! Things change. It’s not something that is terrible. Truly, I do love living here."
