"The people at LaCrosse have great response time when it comes to issues. The pool is super nice to have access to in the summer and the neighbors are generally pretty quiet. The location is also pretty nice being straight across from the grocery store. I very much enjoyed my stay here and the willingness for the staff to work with me on extenuating circumstances."
"My overall experience with these apartments have been good. The staff is friendly and the maintenance of the property is great. Now Since the apartments have been sold to key management I don’t think things will continue to be great. Increasing the rent and now adding extra cost for trash, and water is ridiculous. Yes the apartments are nice but they are old and they are not updated and they are meeting the same cost as brand new duplexes with 3+ bedrooms. Due to that I will not renew my lease, because the cost is way too much for an outdated small apartment."
"lived here for about eight years. I just like to give a shout out to Rosemary and her crew. They are awesome..they keep the pool clean…. Had to have maintenance on a Friday at 4:45 call maintenance. They were out by 5:00 PM. Worked overtime to solve the problem that night. They were awesome. Thank you for the support Rosemary and your staff."
"All buildings were INFESTED with brown recluse spiders, although the apartment complex denies being aware of any other units having them (even though I had discussed the issue with multiple tenants in other buildings who had the exact same issue, reported it, and were “blamed” for bringing the spiders with them). Their pest control practices did nothing to help with the situation either. Management and maintenance were very moody, cliquey, and unhelpful multiple times. I had issues with maintenance, move out, and community security. Supposedly was a gated community, but the gates were always broken and the fencing around the property is falling down and rotten. Outdoor lighting was always broken as well, so didn’t always feel the safest. The gym equipment was poorly maintained and the hot tub was “closed for maintenance” for months. Amenities listed in the contract (cable TV, security system, hot tub) were taken away while living there / didn’t ever work, yet the rent price was not adjusted to reflect. The apartment itself was nice enough, which is why I’m leaving two stars instead of one. It had cheap finishings (like carpet and easily staining / chipping countertops) but if you take care of it, no major issues. Just hope you don’t have to deal with management or maintenance staff and don’t get bit by a brown recluse!!!"
"I have lived here for 3 years and am sad to leave. I am relocating for work and in starting a new home-hunt I am truly appreciating just how amazing it has been living here. Here are my honest thoughts to anyone considering living here: PROS - The leasing staff is always friendly and respectful. - Maintenance responds quickly to maintenance requests. - I've never had any issues with any of my neighbors. (Occasionally a tenant will park in my covered parking spot but I leave a note and have never had the same person do it twice). - The exterior is fantastic. The pool is gorgeous to spend sometime in with friends or family and the walking trail out back is pretty and pleasant to walk along. I think its like .6 -.75mi and I wouldn't mind if it were an even 1 mile but eh. CONS - My biggest issue is that the gate is not always closed. I think when COVID started they began leaving it open so FedEx and UPS could make package deliveries straight to apartments and it just never got switched back. This is the only thing that really bothers me since it is marketed as a "gated community". I would prefer the gate to be closed at least at some point in the evening like perhaps 9/10pm-6am. That being said, I have never had my car or apartment broken into or any safety issues. I would just appreciate the added security. - The "sorry we're gone, we'll be back at ______ time" is always in the window. I went to the leasing office several times and it was there and I thought "Man, they must be busy with showings, they're never here" until eventually I realized it's just always there. Try the handle lol. I hope this was helpful to anyone looking for a new home. I'm really gonna miss this place. ...and my neighbor's dog, Buddy, who always runs out to greet me and say hi from the patio near my parking spot. :)"
