"Great place to live..Nice and quiet."
"The application process was very simple and I was approved super quick! I literally moved in the same week. The ladies in the office were very nice and helpful. They were saying how they were under new management and you could see the changes that were going on in the apartment community. The current residents were bringing them treats and everyone just seemed so pleased with all the new changes! So I made my decision pretty quickly. They showed me a few apartments that I might like and I chose one that worked for me."
"This place definitely isn't perfect but it is a very good value for the money. We stayed in both a 1 and 2 bedroom apartment over the 3 years we lived there. The staff is very friendly and very timely making repairs when needed. The lake view is totally awesome. We seen in these reviews that people don't get their deposit back and they had issues with the management. We experienced just the opposite. If you clean up the apartment and leave it rent ready like we always do, you will get your deposit back. It's a nice quiet convenient place with a very diversified community of old and young alike. They have a nice pool that is kept up well too."
"Nervous to break my lease with the landlord because of all the horrible reviews. We had a few cases of blacl mold and they just covered it with paint. Discovered a new spot in our closet earlier today. I never noticed it but thats also where I keep our trash bin so my pet doesn't get into it. Anyone else who has had problems with this place should look into the slum lord laws and get something done. If things dont go expected im going to call the health department and let them know aboit the black mold and show them some one elses review of bes bugs that happened a week ago"
"Lived at Southlake for almost 4 years. As the namesake suggests, you'll have a constant unwavering view of water, wildlife and dense woods. Perfect for anyone who would prefer to not be anywhere near the hustle and bustle that is south Wichita. It's recessed from seneca (as well as highway 235) by nearly an eighth of a mile, which can be a pain when coming and going, but it certainly makes up for it in terms of privacy. Staff on site are always friendly and all about business, as long as your intent is to be a good tenant, pay your rent in a timely fashion and respect your neighbors, you'll never have a problem, and if you happen to hit a financial snag, they're always willing to do all they can to help. From what I gather, the community is comprised of an even mixture of young adults, middle-aged and elderly. Very few children. Most people keep to themselves. Although the occasional neighborly types make themselves evident. The cost is manageable on a living wage, and even more so for those are a bit more privileged. The apartments themselves are a little dated, but fully functional. Fresh paint and sometimes new carpeting meets new tenants. On the downside, many of the units at Southlake Village are occupied by some very outdated, but functional range top ovens, whereas refrigerators are normally clean and new. Dishwashers are 'hit and miss' some new, some old, but always provided. Because of their age and design, cable and telephone outputs are in extremely inconvenient locations with little options for running either wired or wireless devices in rooms other than common areas. The cable output for example is located (in some units) between the sliding glass balcony door and the fireplace, which needless to say, isn't ideal for anyone. From what I can gather, buildings 1 through 8 are all original and maintained since their construction sometime in the seventies, whereas buildings 9 and 10 we're rebuilt as exact replicas after a tornado struck them in May of 1999. A giant pile of concrete remnants still rests (out of the way) just beyond a lakeside trail southeast of building 10. The grounds are managed merely as an effort to fend off nature reclaiming the lands, but aside from that, it's left mostly untouched, lending to it's natural beauty. A key can be obtained from the office to access a "private" lake to the north, in which residents can fish to their hearts content in a private and beautiful setting. If you've got a love for nature and a modest budget, call them today. They're really good people."
