"Incredible boards at amazing prices. Every time I'm inflating my board, at least one person comes up to ask me about it. The boards are rock hard once inflated, and the boards and fins can put up with an incredible amount of abuse. I floated the Boise River last weekend (249cfs) and got hung up sideways on a gravel bar. The water pushed me sideways for 15' and I thought, great, this is going to be an expensive mistake. Nope - the fins were just barely scraped up and the board still looks like new. My husband hit a boulder dead on, bringing him to a sudden stop, and again - no damage. We're beginning SUPers and these boards are extremely stable and quite easy to learn on. Plus the hand pump is MUCH faster than the electric pump :-D"

"Hands down the best board, best company best customer service. I’ve had Hydrus boards since July 2020. I ordered my first and quickly realized I needed a second for friends and family. These boards a fantastic. They are the sturdiest inflatable I have used or seen. The pack so well and I always get compliments and questions. I recently received the updated Paradise Touring and I can tell you it is amazing. I had it inflated and on the water within an hour of unboxing (I was still on the clock so I had to wait that long) I was shocked at how much lighter it felt! The Hydrus Crew says the updated boards are between 4-5 Pounds lighter and as a “kind of” in shape woman in her late 40’s I can say I noticed every pound missing right away. I have to carry the board about 100 yards to the water and this lighter board is perfect. I didn’t have to stop to shift sides or anything. I Took one of our Foster dogs out with me and we were both comfortable right away. If you’re thinking about buying one of these boards, don’t wait life’s too short. If you already have one in your thinking about upgrading, don’t wait life’s too short!"

"I recently purchased a Hydrus Paradise board as an upgrade and am loving it so far! As I transitioned from beginner to more intermediate in skill, I wanted something faster and a board that I’d feel more confident in windy/rough conditions while out on the lake. The Paradise definitely delivers on the speed – it is fast! The board shape is awesome and just glides with ease through the water! Stability is relatively ok. While the board is a foot and a half longer than my other big box brand, it’s also 4” more narrow and I feel that difference in width and general side to side balance. Experience and technique should help here over time. The paddle shape and design is fantastic, but unfortunately the handle cracked while locking in place during its second outing. This was discouraging but Hydrus very promptly responded and sent out a replacement – I had a new handle within about a week. Customer service response here was great! Overall I’m very pleased with this board and that I get to support an awesome indie PNW company :)"

"I researched iSUP board companies then I found Hydrus. The company and attention to making a great product for customers stood out. Competing companies seemed to market via push marketing, aggressive sales & color schemes or add-ons. Hydrus seems to have honest approach about developing great boards. Customer service answered questions quickly, processing was immediate, shipping crazy fast. Overall initial experience provided piece of mind for this purchase. UPDATED AFTER USE Now that I have been on the water with my inflatable board I cannot express how happy I am with the purchase. The ability to travel to Florida, inflate within minutes and paddle mangrove backwater and ocean areas all while fly fishing. First, the convenience and ease of unpacking everything (board, paddle, pump, fins) and inflating next to my launch site was simple and straightforward. At first I did think the gauge on my pump wasn't working but that was just because I needed to keep pumping. My family has other inflatables and this seems to be much firmer than what I have previously used. Second, the stability of the board was shocking. From my photo you can see that I put a 45qt cooler, framed pack with gear, tackle gear, rods, push pole and sand spike on the board to fish the backcountry in Florida. It paddled surprisingly well for being a larger board than most and loaded down with gear, I never felt like I could not move to a location that I wanted. I fished and paddled through a primary marine channel with large boats flying by me at 25 feet and the wake was rough but easily handled. I expected to fall or tip or have stability issues casting fly rod and landing fish, but after initial setup that concern went away and I paddled confidently. In addition, handling was great while paddling and I was in 20-30 mph winds at one point on open ocean with the wind at my back and was able to simply rudder the boat like a sailboat and at no time did I feel like I was going to flip or toss any gear. Next point would be storage and travel. The bag and board is not the lightest in the world but that is to be expected with size and durability being offered. I did strap the board to the top of my suburban at times and it traveled okay for not having a rack and I never traveled over 60mph. A nice feature of the board is multiple fins for multiple situations. During low-tide I utilized the flexible river fin as I could travel in extremely shallow water where flats boats could not access and didn't worry about a hard fin scraping the bottom. The board's main surface was comfortable for hours of standing. The board has a clean deck that allows my fly line to lay without getting caught up and tangled. In no way did I feel like I could not fully customize my fishing setup with existing attachment points. This was a major concern of mine when comparing Hydrus to fishing specific boards as the competitors seemed to have several attachments that cluttered the board, specific to only brand attachments and likely will fail over time. I went with Hydrus because I figured having a better board is more important than gimmicky attachments and color patterns. No complaints with the attachment points as they are enough of them and in the correct locations without overwhelming the main area of the board. It is yet to be determined how durable the board is as I continue to use it on my travels. I am excited to get this on the lake this summer for my kids to paddle and use as a swim platform. I flew with the board to the Florida Keys and it allowed my brother and I to both get out to flats for fishing. Lastly, to end this glowing review my board allows me to get out on the water when previously I would be stuck on shore. What I used to rent or pay a guide serious $$$ to go fishing is now a DIY adventure to some awesome places and satisfaction of doing it on my own terms. This alone is worth the price of admission and recommend the Joy XL to those looking for crazy stability with an inflatable board, packable storage and great customer service."

"I bought a joyride 1 week ago. We took it out for our first paddle today in a lake in cool CT. My wife was all smiles and said I think we should get a second one. I agreed and just purchased it right away. This board is well made. It's sturdy and will make for lots of family fun and great exercise.
