"Ah…mah…ziiiing!! Don’t let the drive up discourage you. Take in the beauty as you drive up to the most inviting of B&Bs! Tonya, the caretaker, was the super sweet and friendly! I would have thought she had been running the place for years! A former guest turned caretaker…perfection! I never wanted to leave as well! David and Sandy were so warm and welcoming to all who entered their home! (Kitties were too!) I enjoyed every minute, and even scheduled my next stay before I left! To be continued…"

"This place is beautiful. The owners are really nice and so talented. You just have to see it. All the art is fabulous. You can sit out back and enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Our bed was very comfortable. Also, Tonya is great and cooks a fabulous breakfast, it is always delicious. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, this is it."

"Secluded and unlike anywhere most of us have stayed before, Coeur de Lion is a unique treasure that is absolutely worth booking. We were graced with a slower night, so the space was quiet and the breakfast table was ours to share with the host -- it was special learning about the art that adorns the property! Plus, the breakfast was heavenly; our host honored dietary restrictions and served a truly incredible meal with potatoes, frittata and fresh fruit. Coffee, tea, and ice water were available, too! It's the "minor" details that really make this B&B special, though. Guests are encouraged to spend time milling about the house, play the instruments, drink some wine, and enjoy others' company. There were even small snacks in the room! Also, if the sun is out in the morning, you'll be graced with a gorgeous view of the mountains and surrounding forest. The roads getting up to Coeur de Lion are well-maintained, even in wintry conditions, so larger vehicles should be able to manage them. However, sedans and similar vehicles may struggle with the ice and winding hills that are so typical of mountainous areas. The driveway dips down, too, so getting out may be a challenge if winter has done its worst. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay -- go ahead and book already! :)"
