"I tend to think that medical personnel are overworked these days. doctors have more patients than they can handle and so can't remember the details of each of their individual patients. So it wasn't that the people I've encountered weren't courteous and polite, they all were affable and professional, it's just that as an organization gets as large as kootenai health services, patients get lost in the shuffle, overcharged for services, multiple appointments, when one should have been sufficient and so on. In addition to this, medical practitioners are battling with insurance companies and the poor masses are caught in between. The chronically and terminally ill need medical services without having to bear the stress of getting stuck with exorbitant bills due to all these circumstances. Other than these problems, I want to thank the people who are working in health services and patiently dealing with so many suffering souls. Please continue to strive to be excellent in your commendable professions."

"I completed a sleep study orded by my cardiologist. the sleep study was scheduled 14 days before my appointment with the cardiologist... it is now18 days and I have not receive any report .... you be the judge"

"Dr. Fairfax asked lots of questions to understand my sleep issues and was compassionate and understanding. Very happy with my experience. Update 8/4/23- I completed a sleep study last week at the Kootenai sleep center. The guys that helped me (Mark, Justin, and Ken) were friendly, provided a helpful explanation of the process, and kept me entertained during the long day. The office staff who schedules the appointments could use some education. One of the techs requested that sleep studies start earlier in the evening but this hasn’t happened. It would have been helpful to know details about meals provided and the office staff did not provide accurate information."

"It was recommended that I get a sleep apnea test in Oct 2022. Did not get an appt until January of 2023. I was able to get my husband in at the same time so this is where the 1 in my score comes from. We did the tests, then it was another 3 months to review with the Dr. I was told it would be a virtual appt. I have my notes. The office then called in March wondering why we weren't at their office. We told them it was supposed to be virtual based on the info we received when the appt was made. My husband went first, bad connection due to where we live. We were told that it had to be virtual even when the connection was bad. When my turn came, I was trying to hook up to the wi-fi and the call was dropped. I called the office to let them know and the voice mail will not be picked up for a day or two. I did not receive a call back, NOTHING. I have waited 3 months for the equipment and approx another 3 months to talk to a doctor. A simple phone call would be nice. And why does this practice take SOOOOO long to get things done. Not efficient."
