Children's Advocacy Center

The Children's Advocacy Center at 2190 West Ironwood Center Drive in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is a vital institution dedicated to providing safety, education, and empowerment to survivors and the community of North Idaho. Offering 30-day emergency and 90-day extended shelter to survivors and their children in imminent danger, the center provides food, necessities, case management, and support around the clock. Licensed counselors offer individual domestic or sexual violence counseling at no cost, while life skills and peer support groups are also available. Court advocates assist survivors with protection orders and legal referrals, participating in the Kootenai County domestic abuse court. The center helps survivors access longer-term housing, find housing options, complete the voucher process, and receive emergency housing financial assistance. Additionally, Safe Passage's Children's Advocacy Center offers a multidisciplinary response to child abuse allegations, providing immediate advocacy, safety planning, and crisis intervention. The center's 24-hour helpline is open 365 days a year for immediate help. Donations are welcomed to support the center's programs, which include prevention education to individuals, private organizations, and the community.
