"Love Draper Koy! Such a great spot! Love Melissa! She does it all! I have a lot of long hair, my daughter likes to change it up, my son has a full head of wavy hair, and my husband is thinning. She’s knowledgeable, talented and also efficient. I’ve sat in a chair for many hours with all this hair I have. She never takes too long and it always looks amazing every time. I’ve gone super blonde and am now currently more natural with that grow out into blonde look. No idea what it’s called. Haha But I get so many compliments. My husband has been growing a beard this winter and she even grooms that. Honestly, she’s just rad. Her skills and her as a person. Melissa, thank you for keeping my family beautified! XO"
"Found them on Instagram and loved how their blowouts looked and they seemed to do a really nice job with all of their services, but the booking process was a hassle and the service wasn't pleasant. Called to book and no one answered so I sent them a DM and received a nice response asking me who I was interested in seeing along with a friend request. Told them that I was interested in two of their stylists and never got a response. I messaged again the next day, assuming they were busy and was left on read again. But giving them the benefit of the doubt, assuming they were busy, I called and someone answered. I let the girl know that I was looking for a cut with one of two stylists I named and let her know that I have curly hair and she suggested that I see Melissa. I assumed they were putting me with someone that knew curls really well, or was enthusiastic about textured cuts and was told Melissa would text me back. I felt like she was weirdly curt in text messages but I again gave her the benefit of the doubt because maybe she's just a direct person and I was really hopeful to find a new stylist that does a good blow out. I went to my appointment today and when I arrived I found out that my stylist was new but has been doing hair for a long time but had just moved here and she was annoyed she had to build up her client list again. I realized then that I was just pawned off to the girl that had the least clients instead of one of the two I asked for. (shady!) I talked to her about what I was looking for with my hair, and it seemed like she understood -- I told her I wanted everything one length but with some long layers around the crown and some heavier bangs -- and to make things even since I have been doing home cuts since my last cut in August. She took me to the bowl to wash my hair and washed me but didn't even touch my scalp ... which was odd, especially since I have curly hair. At this point I was just hopeful for a nice cut and blow out and to leave, hoping for a happy ending. During my cut, which she started with scissors, she pulled out a razor and started to razor cut my hair, without asking me whether or not that was okay with me. I was mortified she went into my hair with a razor, without asking me permission first. She then proceeded to give me front face-framing layers, which I also did not want. I am trying to grow my hair out and now I will need to cut the rest of my hair to be the same length as the front. Not only that, it looks horrible with my curl texture, that she didn't even try to consider during my cut, my hair just sits at the side of my head poofed up looking like dog ears. I of course couldn't see this until I went home and washed and styled my hair myself because she didn't even dry my hair -- she asked me if I ever diffuse my hair and I told her yes, but I wanted to come to this salon because I love a good blow out. She dried my bangs straight (LOL) and then ran her fingers through my curls (with some sticky product that smells like mens cologne (I hate it)) and broke up the curls and ringlets with her fingers fluffing my hair out like it was wavy or straight and needed volume -- but she did not dry my hair. I left the salon in the middle of winter with a wet head. I'm so angry that this person cut my hair like this. On top of all of this, Melissa called her son's friends "retarded" when she found out that I teach at Boise State (her son goes there and his friends are apparently just "retarded") and that she moved to Idaho because she was tired of all the "homeless people" and "needles" everywhere, so yeah, she's just a bad person with a sour attitude. I won't be going back, I'm pissed about my hair, not being listened to, treated like I didn't matter, and I also smell horrible because of the stuff she put in my hair and I'm not exaggerating when I say that I washed my hair 4 times to try and get the smell out but had to stop because the shower was running cold."
"Kate, the owner, is incredible and so accommodating! Amanda is so caring, thoughtful, and an amazing stylist! The salon is stunningly beautiful. Thank you!"
"If I could give more than five stars I would. The salon itself is absolutely stunning. Kate, the owner, has been doing my hair for the last year and I’ve always been super happy with it. The extensions are always perfect and the color is always stunning too. Highly recommend going to this salon! You won’t be disappointed."
