"I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to save someone the frustration. I called ahead of time to ask if there was anyone who specialized in curly hair (anyone with curly hair can sympathize with how hard it is to find a beautician who understands how to cut curly hair well). I spoke with Shanon who told me that everyone there did and that she had personally for 30 years. Upon arrival I told her that I wanted a trim and some extra layering to liven up my curls. She didn’t really listen to what I was saying and then cut a lead that felt way shorter than I had asked. A couple of minutes in Shanon made a remark about how cutting curly hair isn’t any different and that “anyone who cuts straight hair should be able to cut curly hair”. I knew right then that I had made a mistake, but it was too late. Having asked for a trim and some layers I was astonished to find out that she had cut 8 inches!!! She had the nerve to point at my pile of hair on the floor and say, “well there’s a years worth of hair.” She told me that she didn’t account for shrinkage. How do you accidentally cut off that much?!? Even then I wasn’t going to write a review, but I came home and thought one side seemed longer than the other. I straightened my hair and realized that it was! I was forced to fix it myself. Needless to say I will make the trip down to Utah to see my regular beautician next time."
