"Where do I begin with the traumatic experience I had with this person. I went in for a PTSD claim and this person after finding out where I worked, asked me how come I never went up to a random doctor and asked them what's wrong with my brain! I have had anxiety and sleepless nights since seeing this person. My regular therapist has had to use our last 3 appointments helping me through my visit with this person because of the damage he inflicted with his treatment and line of questioning unrelated to my reason for visiting. DO NOT ever go to this mans office!"
"If you are going for a VA exam, go somewhere else. He is a blue falcon and will spend more time talking about his service than asking questions. Made me wait 45 minutes past my appointment time, talked for most of the interview and did not ask questions about what I was there for. His recommendation is messing up my rating and my ability to provide for my family. Do whatever you can to avoid him!"
"Vets, ask for another evaluator! My encounter with him seemed cursory at best; it was a surprisingly short evaluation. He did correctly diagnose me with PTSD due to two personal assaults. I am similarly diagnosed (plus major depressive disorder) by a Psychiatrist who takes copious notes and quite a bit of time, unlike P Wang, PhD. He asked about my history before the military, but could not lay any blame there. He then asked about my financial situation, even asking if I received alimony. He stated multiple times in his summary that I am a reserve officer and GS employee. A vet's financial situation is not a legal consideration for VA disability ratings, but his inclusion of this reveals his personal bias, IMO. As an aside, I know I could never duplicate my work position; my supervisors are aware of my PTSD and giving a lot of grace. His official report to the VA only included the first two incidents completely omitting the third, most recent, well documented triggering incident which occurred while deployed and is the reason I finally realized I needed serious help. I believe he tried to find a way to discard my claim based on prior service history and when he couldn't, he minimized the effects of how my symptoms impacted my work quality, social interactions (or lack thereof), loss of interest in life and severe fatigue."
"This guy is a VA quack! I had been diagnosed with PTSD by and outside mental health group. This guy didn't asked me anything about my military service but wanted to know about my childhood! I just found out he diagnosed me with some kind of nervous disorder but not PTSD! Now the VA wants more info before they can make I decision on my case! Stall until I give up. are give up."
"Same experience as Andrew and Eric. 2020 C&P exam for an increased rating and Wang had never seen my file or even knew what I was there for. Never once asked me how my symptoms have changed. Sad that a fellow veteran can’t help out another veteran that’s hurting and dealing with issues. I showed him a private DBQ that my doctor had filed out for me and he laughed at it. Said this independent DBQ doesn’t give any weight towards your claim. The “only” thing that matters is what the VA Notes say in your medical record. He made crude comments over and over saying that since I work for a bank I must be wealthy and if I could give him advice with the stock market. He pointed to a box on my private DBQ saying “this box if checked basically means your are in an institute and have had more then 20 different jobs this year”. I felt so uncomfortable. Please please fellow vets if you come across this review call private company that scheduled your exam and ask for someone else!!! Cannot stress this enough. I couldn’t get through 1 full sentence before being asked another question so I couldn’t explain how my work life and social life were being affected."
