"We had our puppy in a two week board and train while we were out of town, and Bill did a phenomenal job! When we came to pick him up, he spent some time with us going over the training, and showing us how to handle and work on it once we got home. Highly recommend, we will be back!"

"They did a fantastic job with our 9 month old Rottweiler. She is a handful and that is why we took her to Elk Hound. We started with daycare and decided to do the board and train. They took their time with her and made sure we were comfortable with the training before we came home. The first night at home was better than any prior to training. We know that we will have to stay consistent with her but with their support we feel more confident than ever with our dog. Thank you to the wonderful trainers and staff!"

"We originally chose Elkhound because other kennels around Lawrence and the Kansas City area wouldn't accept our aggressive German Shepherd/Akita mix. We knew our pet, Crash, would be safe at Elkhound but didn't expect him to let their staff touch him. We're happy to report Elkhound was able to join Crash's small circle of friends! We're thrilled things went so well while we traveled over the holidays and plan to use Elkhound again soon."

"We love this place! We are treated like family every time we visit. We attend daycare often and have boarded here as well. My boy is a big 150lb goofy Newfoundland and they love him even though he is A LOT to love. They know he is prone to hot spots so they keep a fan on him when he gets wet. They always get him in for a bath even if it’s on short notice. They care for all of the dogs as if they were their own. I highly recommend them to anyone!!!"
