"This business was recently recommended to me by a family member. Unfortunately I did not receive the same service they did. I went in today to have some work done on two sterling silver rings. Both rings are sentimental, one of them having my mother’s diamond set in it with turquoise, and the other being from a trip to Ireland years ago. From the onset of the conversation it was clear the gentleman speaking with me did not have any interest in helping me with these two pieces. I was told “most jewelers don’t work on sterling silver, or even learn how to, because they don’t like to do it”. This was perplexing, as I have had work and resizing done on several sterling silver rings over the years, including these very two rings. I was reluctantly, verbally quoted a rough estimate for a shank replacement and resizing on one ring, and another resizing on the other. But, it was reiterated that my “stones could crack and that jewelers just don’t like working with sterling silver”. I asked if he just didn’t want to work on these rings, and he replied he doesn’t do the work, but that they are sent off (standard practice)…”but sterling silver… they don’t like to.. “. I believe he simply didn’t see much profit in doing this work for me. Of course he had no way of knowing what kind of customer he might have gained with good service… I had presented him with simple sterling silver, after all. I told him that his assertion has not been my experience at all, and I left and drove to another jewelry store who was happy to do the work I needed."

"The owner (Karl) was super helpful. He helped us navigate some jewelry questions, and showed us some really unique pieces. He took time and was detailed with the information he provided. Definitely would recommend checking him out."

"Don't know why I haven't written a review until now. I have been buying, selling, and repairing jewelry from this store for years. I bought my wife's engagement set here and my own personal wedding band. Karl (the owner) has low overhead and has very reasonable prices that the superstores don't and better quality. He also give the best scrap prices from at least Grain Valley to Independence. (I checked around when I first found him.) He is very friendly and has your best interests at heart. Would definitely recommend to anyone."
