Reviews of Primm Place
"I love living here. Ashley is very understanding and no matter your situation as long as you communicate with her she will do her best to help you. I have never had to wait more than 2 days after putting in a maintenance request. Everyone is very professional and polite. I have lived here for almost two years and I have never had a problem. This is a great place to live."
"I moved out of Primm palace August 2020 it’s a great place to live if your looking for something convenient. However be careful there will be prons an cons once your approach. Don’t walk in blind please watch an you will see for yourself how they move I would never tell anyone not to move in when that’s your price range are something comparable there but looks can be deceiving. Management is fair but they just want to keep units full they don’t care much they do there jobs when u continue to put in orders an send emails."
"I usually don't like to leave negative reviews but since I've moved here this complex has gone to the pits!!! I've been here for 6+ yrs and each year the care and concern shown to residents gets more terrible than the previous...BUT the monthly rent continues to increase EVERY year. Two years ago upgrades began to be offered to residents... those residents that had been here longest had their apartments done first. I chose to only have light fixtures in my apartment replaced... needless to say I'm still waiting. I got so many conflicting excuses as to why they hadn't been done (back ordered, they were mistakenly put in someone else's apt, no funds, no staff, blah blah blah). I stopped asking. I'd even considered having my counter tops replaced as part of the upgrades, as cheap as counter tops are ($60 for a 10 ft section at Menards), they don't replace them... THEY SPRAY OVER THE EXISTING COUNTER!!! Some of the other management issues that people are reporting in their reviews are true, I've experienced it first hand. Some of the staff are VERY unprofessional and noticeably inexperienced (albeit wanting to look important). I had an issue where a check not made to Primm Place was deposited instead of my rent check, I called the office about it and the (then) manager denied it happening. Upon discovery that she'd indeed deposited the wrong check... she told me it was my fault. I emailed Whitney Mgmt Co twice and have yet to be contacted. That was 2 yrs ago. I had to file a fraud case with my bank in order to retrieve my funds. I've also been dealing with a horribly functioning furnace. EVERY season change it has to be serviced at least 6 times. Since June 2019, I've had maintenance requests for my A/C at least 5 times... only to be given the runaround when asking why it can't be fixed/replaced. I recently received a notice that I'd accrued late fees because my rent wasn't paid. Knowing that I'd put my rent in the dropbox at the office I called to find out what happened. The (floating) manager who was very rude said that she did in fact have my check but couldn't deposit it. I then explained to her that this happens with every new mgr and that there is some thing that Whitney Mgmt had to do in their system so that she had access to deposit the check. I also explained that this note was incorrect and a phone call would have been more appropriate since she did in fact have my rent. She went on to say...'Oh no, I wouldn't make a phone call for that.' Really now, so you'd send a bogus note with fees applied to my account while having said check that the note says you don't have IN YOUR POSSESSION? What great management skills she'd displayed (case in point)!!! Quarterly apartment extermination is scheduled to take place... needless to say it's never done quarterly. Lawn maintenance is kept up on Chicago Heights Blvd where prospective residents drive to the office. ..take a visit to some the other streets in the complex, the grass isn't blown away consistently, the trees aren't mulched and the sprinklers haven't ran in years. Long, long, long story short... this is a decent area but the management company obviously does not care 1 bit about the residents!!! Do not risk your family's livelihood to deal with a poorly managed complex that only cares about the rent!!! #withoutACyetagain #poormanagement EDIT: The responses that are given [to Google reviews] by the manager are simply formalities so that they 'look' like they are doing something when in fact they do not return any phone calls/emails in regard to maintenance issues that they are aware of and are ON-GOING. Don't let them fool you, the management and ownership are HORRIBLE when it comes to customer and/or tenant relations. It's evident that office staff nor the property owners don't care about making anything a 5 star experience, once you've signed on the dotted line, they feel as if they can treat you any way they want."
"I have lived here for 9 years and i am not happy. I love my neighbors and love the area but what i don't like is the management . I have seen too many come and go with no real concern about the residents and what makes them happy. I can never get things i need fixed due to per management (we have others that have things that needs to be fixed) with only one maintenance man. would this be my fault no because if i am late on rent i have to pay a late fee on the third of the month. i am never late on rent and i don't bother no one. for all future residents their isn't a community meetings for all to voice their concerns, so if your thinking they care they do not. again i love the area and convenience but i do not like the $50 rent increase every year nor i do not like the fact you cant upgrade if you have been on the property for as long as you have unless they want you too. nor the lack of fixing things that is broke over two years now."
"I have lived here for 3 years. It was fine at first but they have moved in some very rowdy people. My toilet, A/C and stove have been broken for two years and after several request, it still hasn't been fixed. If I could get out my lease I would."
