"THE NIGHTMARE NEVER ENDS. I lived here over 2 years ago (I now have a collections letter from them for a fee I don't even know where or how I got) and hilariously they had my second review taken down that detailed every grievance but my first is still there to see. Presha was USELESS while we lived here. The management office was unhelpful. The pool signs were stolen and so they punished the whole complex by closing our pool "until the signs were returned" which meant forever. We had mice. We had maintenance men who did not respond or tell us when they would show up. I put a chain lock on our door after I woke up and came into my living room and a man was there. The next time they tried to enter unannounced I was in the shower which is EXACTLY what I was worried about. I got told my chain lock was a violation and when I brought up the unpredictable and unresponsive maintenance men they never emailed me back. Presha would email weekly asking "maintenance was out did they complete" and no one ever came to my door. Then they would show up unannounced (if they ever showed up at all) at random times days weeks or months later. We had a laundry list of maintenance orders from day one that most never got fixed before we moved."

"Worst apartment I've ever rented. I'm paying $500 a month (not including utilities) for a studio infested with roaches, a neighbor who leaves his door open so it feels like he's practically a roommate, and numerous inconveniences involving ineffective pest control and inspections. The lease makes you sign a bed bug addendum that is definitely not favorable to you and suggests that these properties have had issues with them in the past, although I have not personally had any issues with them in this unit. The stove won't turn off in my unit so you have to flip the breaker on and off, and the oven door won't open because it's so close to the adjacent kitchen drawer that it gets caught on the handle, so to use the stove I've had to take that kitchen drawer out. I woke up one morning to the sound of a piece of my ceiling falling out. Stay far away from this complex and Southwood Properties in general."

"Wish I could give a lower rating. We thought we scored a great apartment here but it was too good to be true. The first six months were great. Everything was paid on time and we had built a really good relationship with the management. Our lease was up in January, but we had to leave in October because our upstairs neighbors flooded our apartment. I'm talking about an inch of water all over the floor, in the hall, the bathroom and the living room. The water kept coming down for six hours before it stopped. The neighbors said that a pipe busted in their bathroom, but they didn't hear the water or us pounding on their door for almost an hour. It was a nightmare. When we brought it up to the main office, they said they would send someone over to look at it. They did. Though the maintenance guy said there was nothing wrong with the place and left. The bathroom door wouldn't even shut because of how swollen it was with water!! There was standing water in our lights and in the vents when we left! We were treated poorly because my two flatmates and I were younger and it was our first place. We tried to be respectful of our neighbors above us. They even put in a noise complaint about my dog. I had to quit working just to stay home and make sure he was quiet. It was ridiculous. This place is so cheaply built, walls are paper thin and the neighbors are all drug addicts. Honestly, if you value your money and sanity, just don't move here. It's so not worth it. It's better to spend extra money and live off ramen noodles than to live here."

"Great price... Or so I thought. The people at the main office are very nice so I didn't understand the negative reviews. Then I started living here. The maintenance man is rude and doesn't acknowledge what time you specified. There are roaches coming out of the ceiling. It's been months since I haven't showered with at least three roaches. It's disgusting I have called multiple times only gotten to once. The ironic thing is that there is a pest control truck that is here at least a week out of the month. Bugs are everywhere, neighbors are loud and the washing machines are only a foot deep. Look somewhere else."
