Heer's Luxury Living

"....very dirty (and gross) on the inside. Here's a perfect example...someone came home drunk from the bar and decided to "spit" on the on the floor in the elevator. They also spit on inside of the elevator door. It has now been almost a month and it's still there. The cleaning process consists of pounds of carpet fresh and then a quick vacuum. You don't want to touch much of anything in the public spaces. Place smells...take a tour, look around...you'll see. Also, they're asking for reviews for a chance at Visa gift cards....here's a review."

"I love living in this building. Spacious rooms with high ceilings and new appliances. Wonderful amenities too. Multiple layers of security make it safe for all the residents. Enjoy the great mix of residents from younger to more seasoned."

"Update 3/2/2024 -Still an issue; gotten worse since they've leased out the lower floor with businesses. More money for the building, less water for the upper floors. They continue to blame others, when the issue is clearly their pump that they replaced with a incorrect sized pump- it started the day they replaced the pump downstairs. It simply doesn't work. They continue to blame the city and others. If you like to pay luxury prices for no water throughout the day, this is your place. Update: 12/27/23 - still an issue; continue to look elsewhere… Update: 4/4/2023- problem continues in upper floors. Not as bad as when this was on the news, but water pressure is bad and sometime you don’t have water for several minutes (several times a day). They continue to ignore the problem. Previous: Getting water consistently or even getting actual water pressure is a constant challenge. I have lived on the 8th floor since Jan 2022. The problem has been here since day 1. Throughout the day I will lose water for periods of anywhere from a few seconds to around 8-9 minutes. During peak times I will often lose water back to back or just a dribble in between. Wait until you have to wash your clothes multiple times, run your dishwasher again and again, try to wash your hands after using the restroom or handling raw food and you don’t have any water. You can’t go a day w/o being frustrated at least once by the lack of timely water. And when I mean you have no water, I mean no water for extended periods. We have a running joke of who will be the next contestant on naked and afraid by risking taking a shower. We’ve both stood off to the side shivering with soap and shampoo everywhere waiting for the water to return! The part they need to fix it is still not here due to some supply chain issues. That’s understandable. What is not understandable is this “luxury” living is quite the opposite when you can’t get consistent water or have almost 10 minute long stretches with out water. The management property is not discounting anything for this now more than 7-month long (and counting) inconvenience. I would not recommend living here. I have countless videos showing the frequency and duration of these events. Living here makes life a little harder, more frustrating, and can outweigh the benefits that one might see in the convenience of living downtown. Live elsewhere. The water problem starts on the 4th floor and gets progressively worse and you move up the building…. UPDATE: Nothing has been done to resolve or account for the ongoing issue. We still do not have water for chunks of our day. Your quality of life will be diminished with the "luxury" offers at the Heer's. Also note that the owner has no response to my review."

"We have lived at the Heer’s Building for the past two years. The building is historic but the renovation makes it feel like a modern luxury apartment. We absolutely love our apartment and the community amenities such as the rooftop patio and game room. The management has always been attentive and maintenance issues resolved quickly. We have lived in larger cities and rank this property at the top of the list. I’d recommend putting it on your list of places to consider if moving into Downtown Springfield."

"I have been a resident here for only 3 months, but I can tell you that I have lived in numerous places in Springfield, and none of the compare to the Heer's. Bar none, for the amenities, cost and location, you simply can't do better. People, there IS a reason that they can barely keep units empty... Because this is a quality place to live. Their employees are bare none professional, I've been dealing mostly with Ashley, and she was amazing to deal with. Prompt, courteous and detail driven... She is an asset for this place, period. Do yourself a favor, if you don't want to live in a crammed space downtown, the Heer's is the way to go. PROS: -Indoor parking garage ($50/mo) -location/location/location. When you step out, bam! You're downtown! -Great amenities (theater and game room) -Unit comes with washer and dryer. -Staff is accomodating, friendly and responsive. -Very spacious units -Diverse group of tenants (not just all college kids) -AT&T has fiber optics to the building and into each apartment unit. CONS: -Not all utilities are included. -Not a lot of great free parking options. -They do go a bit overboard on having to use the security FOBs practically everywhere (even elevator access), which can be a hassle at times. -The prices for each unit can swing pretty wildly. Depending on the view/floor combination, the more desired ones can get pretty expensive."
