"THANK YOU TO MAINTENANCE!! I’ve had a couple different maintenance related issues while living here but they are so quick and helpful! Most recently, I dropped my keys down the trash chute…. they came down within a minute and dug through the trash to find them! 5 stars for the maintenance team at the Vue!!"

"READ THIS PLEASE Every good review on here are the employees and friends so don’t believe anything they say. They don’t care about others safety. I moved into a female unit and there was a man living there with his girlfriend. I reported it because I pay to live in an all girls apartment and they did nothing about it even though they invaded my privacy several times(I have a cat so I have to keep the door unlocked). I had an emergency in October and my cat ripped a little corner of carpet up and they charged me $550 for something they haven’t even fixed and it’s been 4 months. If you move here and need to move back out, you can’t unless you pay a fee of $554 AND find a new person to replace you because all they care about is money. They don’t care about the residents at all. The front desk staff will lie to you just so that they don’t have to do work, they play music that yes is good but is not professional or appropriate, just think about the fact that your parents might visit and they have this music playing. The place is disgusting, they don’t clean, they don’t fix anything, and they don’t care if it’s important. Our dryer was messed up and overheating (hazardous) and they didn’t care to fix or replace it, I’m still trying to figure out how to break my lease and leave because of some medical issues that informed of and they don’t care one bit. There is almost always several parties and pregames going on during the weekends, which is fine but it gets extremely loud and staff don’t care about noise complaints. Also parking is a pain and if you get a parking spot which is rare, it’s $65 for an outside spot and $85 for the inside. Just don’t live here. Don’t move here, don’t refer people here, it’s overpriced, unsafe, and absolutely disgusting. Also if they reply to any of your negative reviews and say that they “are working with management to improve” don’t listen to that crap."

"Have so far had a very good experience living at the vue! Everyone’s so nice, Leasing staff are quick to answer any and all questions! Everyone there is so nice, and I LOVE the gym. Rooms are spacious and cozy as well! They were willing to work with my move in schedule, which made my life so much easier! The location is beyond perfect as well! So close to all the best restaurants and shops. Have not had any issues with maintenance or cleaning. They do give notice when they need to enter the room, so you always have time to clean up if needed! Overall 10/10 experience so far! Definitely recommend living here if you’re looking for good location and price!"

"good reviews are posted by employees and their friends. like others have pointed out, management is useless in anything other than making your living situation difficult (it doesn’t matter how many times they’ve switched management, it’s all the same). floors covered in stains, including blood from the assault that took place here. elevators are often broken as they were for the last few months i lived here. there was an incident where my roommate was late on rent and the manager came in to notify her. i will say that they did announce themselves coming in, but my roommate had been asleep and didn’t hear that & only woke up to the sound of knocking on her bedroom door. she opened the door topless thinking it was one of us only to see the manager which could have passed as a misunderstanding had the manager not continued to ask for rent right there without excusing my roommate a moment to get decent. leaking/flooding is a major issue. our ceilings had leaked multiple times throughout our lease and my boyfriend’s apartment had been flooded entirely while he was gone for winter break. because of this, he had to spend half of his lease in a different floor plan that should have cost less than his original place. however, they refused to lower the rent to the price of that room which would be the least they could do considering some of his stuff was damaged as well. after it took nearly 6 months to fix his original place, he had moved back in for 3 weeks only to find that they had no AC or hot water for his remaining time there. upon moving out, he was charged $110 to repaint the place despite the fact that it had just been entirely redone/painted. my roommates and i had our own issues with ridiculous move out fees when we were each charged $300+ after scrubbing the place down entirely prior to move out. we even had someone from the vue come in to verify that it looked good to go and all they mentioned was that we could dust the baseboards which we did. in their initial notice email, they mentioned the possibility of arranging a payment plan for move out fees which i asked about, only to be told they don’t do payment plans for these charges. ok. save yourself the stress & sign somewhere else"

"PLEASE READ BEFORE MOVING HERE! This place buys fake good reviews in exchange for prizes so that’s why they are rated so well. This is an actual review for them. / MANAGEMENT / They have the memory of a goldfish. You literally have to harass and call them constantly to even get ahold of them and then they proceed to do nothing productive, say they’ll contact you/solve the issue and then proceed to “forget” and you have to repeat the process. / THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER / They do not care about you or your issues. You are nothing but a cash cow to them and they will make you bleed as much as they can. Examples: 1) While on vacation my entire apartment flooded due to plumbing issues from the room above (My room also got flooded before this so this the 2nd time)They proceeded to not inform me about this at all and I came back to my entire apartment torn apart. My roommate had to sleep on our friend couch cause they didn’t even give him a replacement room to sleep in. It took over a MONTH for them to finish. You will not get any refunds back for this and they will force you to pay full price for a room that doesn’t have a functioning living room or kitchen. 2) All their rooms have black mold in the toilets and it never goes away no matter how hard you try to clean it. 80% of the toilets I’ve seen have mold and even if it’s there when you move in they WILL charge you for damages after you move out. 3) The building will look clean when you move in, but they will not maintain this. The carpets on every floor are constantly stained with dog piss, vomit, and god knows what else (Yes it smells awful). The pool will be stagnant and brown the entire year until they open it in the spring. The elevators are constantly broken, hell the back entrance elevator alarm has been going off for 3 years now without being fixed. All the trash will be constantly overflowing and they wont take it out. / DANGEROUS / People go in and out of the building whether they live there or not. So you don’t know who could be around the corner. Search “good ol Springfield mo Reddit” in google and you find a video of an assault that happened here. I tried to link it but it caused my post to get flagged. You can still see the blood stain on the stairs to this day. The man that did this assault wasn’t a resident but he still got in. More recently on 9/6/23 they had a shooting threat and they shut down the office. BUT they didn’t even bother to inform their residents that there was a potential damage even present. / MOVE OUT CHARGES / When I moved out I was charged $250 for “damages” which entailed all the following: paint for a little dirt spot on the wall, the previously mentioned black toilet mold, and mildewed carpet which happened due to my apartment flooding. They will say that you can send a dispute form for these charges but that’s a lie. I wrote a full dispute with photo evidence and everything. But they never read my dispute and even after contacting them multiple times they would always respond with “our managers hasn’t gotten around to going through all of them”. So here I am after waiting 60 days with no response to my dispute being forced to pay unfair charges because I can’t risk my credit score to fight these lowlifes. But this is why I’m writing all this out. So you don’t make the same mistake I did…Don’t move here."
