Harbin Pointe

"My boyfriend and I almost rented here, but luckily didn’t sign the lease. We were assigned an apartment that we wanted and were told it would be ready at the end of February. We scheduled a tour well in advance to view the specific apartment before signing. The day of the tour comes and we drive an hour to the apartment complex only to find that our apartment was switched with a different one (without communication). Neither the newly assigned apartment, nor the original one, were available to tour on the scheduled day. Our move-in date was also moved out more than a week without notice. After no communication after the failed tour, we decide to go with a different apartment complex. A few weeks later, we get an email saying we are being charged a $75 “move-out” fee for an apartment we didn’t live in and a lease we never signed. The move out date shows 1/1/1901 on the statement. I texted, called, and emailed them to address the issue and I still have not gotten a solution. This has been an incredibly frustrating, disappointing, and unprofessional experience. I don’t feel like anyone would be properly taken care of as a resident here. UPDATE AS OF 3/14 - I have emailed multiple times and texted the number that was previously responsive for a copy of the documentation that I supposedly signed to be charged this $75.00. I was called multiple times but ignored in any form of communication that would leave a paper trail. They finally responded today with an email telling me they will not be emailing back and that I can only communicate through call. This feels sketchy and completely inappropriate. Do not do business here."
